We wandered in here early on a Friday evening, and loved it. The food we ordered was delicious, and the friendly wait staff was casual, and efficient. People were playing pool, there was talk and laughter from the bar…. Altogether a welcoming, fun and friendly spot. We’ll be back!

We came over to Florence for our ten year anniversary and from recommendations we went to the beachcomber. We went a total of 3 times through out our weekend stay. Best fish tacos and the bartenders/staff are so fun and energetic! Please give this place a try it was amazing!! ❤️

What a spot in a little old town strip of Florence! We went twice in one evening, at the bar seating and at a table. Great vibe and divvy (good way) atmosphere that caters to all comers. Sports on TV all around. We remarked to ourselves several times how dialed-in the staff were. They flowed and moved like pros constantly. Enjoyed the spirits and the suds. Food very good, though very heavy. Breading on rings very thick – super tasty but also hard to eat one serving. Fish was similar. Glad we went in and would return when next in the area.

We went today July 1st to Florence and the Beachcomber. We sat outside which on a day like to today you want to, it wasn’t windy and there were a lot of people. We were very lucky to get the table when we did. I don’t remember our servers name, but he was fantastic! He was swamped! It did take a bit of time to get our food, again he was swamped. My husband ordered the Jumbo Prawns and fries and I had the Club Sandwich and Tots. The food was hot and fresh and huge portions. Our meal plus 2 drinks a piece, me 2 beers, (they have a huge selection of beer)! my husband had 2 rum and cokes. The total bill was about 62.00 but you’ll pay that anywhere In Florence and some places won’t have as good a service or the fun!

But $23 for one of their “signature” dishes that only had 5 shrimp…
Yeah .
Place may be good for beer but not so good with the food…
Tried this place again on the later evening of 5/23….
This time I got the “Garbage collector” hamburger…
Ironically the burger was truly sublime and the cook was exceptionally polite. But the bartender tonight was sooooo abrasive maybe she would be better at sanding cabinets versus dealing with the public in a comfortable atmosphere.
And soooo it’s still a ⭐⭐ place…
Maybe some day they can find balance between the food and service

Food was good – but they were very understaffed for service. We were sitting outside, watched a server come in and out helping others but never acknowledged us. I finally had to go inside and wait behind all the bar patrons to even get a menu. Was told he’d be right out, never happened after 15mins, so went back in to ask if we could please order, different fellow said he’d be out for our order and was this time. Atmosphere was outside after all, but wood picnic tables had seen better days and were years of weather and dirt.. again know it’s outside but needed a serious annual pressure wash!

This place is great! Old Town Florence, Oregon. Good prices, great food, great staff! Just got lucky finding a hotel close by and went for a walk. Had the rockfish and fries, wife had a burger and tots, couple of craft beers, everything was good!!

Came in for lunch based on a recommendation from a buddy, and according to my boyfriend it was “exactly the burger I wanted.” The guys behind the bar were super chill too & helpful with beer recommendations. Give this place a try next time you need good “hometown bar” food! (For those who wonder, there are also some solid vegetarian/vegan options; you don’t see that at every bar!)

Great local bar atmosphere surprisingly serving excellent food. The new kitchen manager has did a number on the menu and is serving up some great selections. They have a great draft beer selection with many rotating taps based on the season. Bar service can be hit or miss depending on how busy the business is but we have always experienced friendly service.
