The food here was excellent! The loaded hash browns did not disappoint. The hotdogs are good and you’ll want at least two of them. Cheese sauce and fries enough said. Our server was quick and friendly along with a man who cleared our table of empty dishes. Everyone and everything was great!

I would say this is one of the places where the locals go. My waitress knew my name. The second time I went there. She also knew all the others. She did a great job offering suggestions of what to try. We are not from this area and we haven’t had Coney Islands, but we’re in the area because we have a family member in the hospital

Diner. Old school diner feeling. Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Not much to look at from the outside and easy to drive past without a backwards glance. But once inside you could be in a movie scene in a diner. It’s that iconic. Everything is good tasting here but a huge shout out to the Hani sandwich which is yet another Detroit based food original. I think my favorite thing was the waitress who was super nice but I am sure could have beaten me in a fair fight.

We always order from this Coney Island to go. Never had an issue. Food is always on point. Yesterday we ordered our usual stuff. Pick it up. Tipped 20% thru the online system and then another 10% in cash at pick up. I’m a bartender. I get the industry. We get home and one of our 3 orders is not what we ordered. They probably put switched one box from another order so I called and explained the situation. The guy on the phone was super nice, told us we could keep it. I said no I just want my order so we drove all the way back there and got it. It was ready immediately. Excellent customer service. But word to the wise, check ur carryouts u before u get home. Will def b back.

I was okay with this location at first but now I feel like free they’re being petty and careless. The past couple times I’ve ordered the little tender meal with chili and cheese on the fries they have not put it on there. I even called ahead of my order this time to make sure it’s right. I was told to come later for a side of cheese and chili guessing I’m expected to buy more fries or just inhale chili and cheese…

We love the food at Coney Island. We like the spicy black bean burger. You can get it on a Hani bun. This is so delicious. The rice soup is one of our favorites as thr rice pudding. Of course the coney dogs are good, too. The waitresses are very personable. I highly recommend.
Update: We love Coney Island. The service is always good. Kudos to Lori, our server. We had hanis, an omelet, and French toast…all were delicious.

The day I came, the gentleman who was working the counter, greeted me as soon as I walked in even though he was on the phone taking an order. Once done, he then took my order, continued taking orders over the phone, ringing up customers, giving out Door Dash orders, and he bagged all the orders, (which were many), by himself…Whew, He was a “1 Man Show”! The person cooking the food was just as good. They worked seamlessly together. Yet, while all this was going on, he still provided excellent customer service to each of us. I don’t remember his name, but this was on Sunday, 9/14/25 between 7pm-8pm. I hadn’t been to this location in more than 15 years, but it will be my go to now.
