Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Tried Whataburger in Overland Park for the first time with my parents, after having it once before in Dallas. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were friendly and patient while we took our time ordering.
As for the food, it’s definitely classic fast-food style greasy, heavy, and hearty. It’s not really my personal preference, but that’s probably just because I’m not used to eating this type of meal.
Overall, great service and a clean space, but the food just isn’t quite my style.

Had been wanting to try Whataburger for a long time. Finally got around to it, and I am sorry to say it was not worth the wait.
Proportions were the high point. Definitely not stingy. The food was largely tasteless though, the burgers and fries both. Two of the sandwiches were also incorrect, one of them very incorrect. The fries were lifeless, perhaps the worst of any major chain.
I hope it was just a bad instance, but I’m not likely to go back to find out.

First time ever and we went because everyone said it was so unique and good. The seasonal Blue Cheese burger I ordered was delicious tasting. The others in my group got the normal burgers straight off the menu. Burgers were good, they look lame, but tasted good. Fries were yuck, thin shoestring and cold. Ordering from a kiosk was very unimpressive. The floor was extremely slick. The bathroom was dirty. Not excited to ever go back.

the fries were cold and didn’t even taste that good, it took like 10 minutes even though there was only 1 car in front of us and it was only 11pm, I usually don’t mind about service, but there was not a single word said to us through the interaction except the price which was weird, didn’t impact me review though. buttermilk ranch was good though. it’s usually just a problem with this location though
edit: came back to give this place a second try, the fries tasted chemically, I literally could not even eat them. NEVER had a good experience at this location

First time at Whataburger as we are from South Dakota. Glen welcomed us when we came in. He ensured our order was accurate. He made my kids their shakes and let us try the new peppermint shake. The shakes were very good. Our food came out soon after and was very tasty. We are glad we decided to try Whataburger before our long trek home.

I went at 10:30 am on a Wednesday. I was the only person in the dining area when I first walked in & only 2 cars were in the drive-thru. So my low review is not due to long wait times. I don’t know if the floor had recently been mopped or if it was just greasy, but it was insanely slippery! As other people started coming in, I watched all of them struggle not to fall as well. (No signs of wet / slippery floor.) The men’s bathroom was fairly dirty & of course no towels. Staff was not friendly. While waiting for my food I was shocked out how many flies were in the dining room! While they were everywhere… I noticed that the booths that were upholstered had way more flies. So I moved to a table with a hard chair. They still were all around me though. Food took a while, but I think it’s because it all had to be cooked fresh since I was there during a slow time. So no complaints about the wait time. I was not a fan of the food though. It was not horrible, but I have no desire to ever go back for more.

This rating is pertaining to the Whataburger near 69 highway on 135th street, in front of Sam’s Club, in olathe ks. You go in and order your food and tell them exactly how you want it. 5 or 10 minutes later you receive your order. Nice and hot. The quality of food is okay even though the prices are starting to go up, a number #2 combo for two people used to be $25 and some change. Now it’s $26 and some change. I was told the cheese went up to 75 cents a slice, so that’s the price of going out to eat. The place is nice and clean and the service is great. So if you are in the neighborhood and wanting a burger and some fries, or maybe a chicken or a salad stop on by.

Some of the worst service I have ever had, and that’s coming from a service industry worker. The guy that took my order was very lackluster, and then when I checked my order before leaving and mentioned that my order was wrong, he proceeded to get even moodier. I’ve had great food from here before, but today is was cold And you could tell it has been sitting for a while. Probably won’t be back anytime soon
