This is a spot known for their Chirashi bowl – which comes with several different kinds of fish – tuna, salmon, trout, shrimp, eel, and masago – all over rice

The quality of the fish was super nice. Each piece tasted pretty fresh, and felt like it had been stored well.
My favorites were the eel, toro, and the salmon. The eel especially seemed marinated in some kind of soy-sauce, which enhanced the flavor
A bit of a downside is I feel this place indexed a bit much on the leanness when it came to this bowl. While eating the tuna (of which there were several different types present), I found it to be not super pleasant. Since tuna lacks pretty much any fat, you’re just eating pure protein. This is fine in small sections, but when you have a large portion of the bowl made of tuna, it makes part of the bowl a chore to get through

I thought the rice was basically perfect. It was cooked really well, and I think it was even seasoned beforehand. it paired very well with the house soy sauce. Normally, I don’t like just plain rice, but I could’ve had an entire bowl of this rice and nothing else – and been happy

It’s a little on the expensive side – coming out to around $20 after tax, but I did have this over two meals with decent portion sizes in each meal. For the amount of fish you’re getting in this bowl, it’s not a bad deal

Overall, I liked the fundamentals of this bowl, but a different fish selection would’ve given it a higher score for me. 7.5/10

Great spot for lunch; it’s not fancy, but that’s not the point. It’s a reliable spot you can go to for a good serving of Japanese comfort food — be it a bowl of udon, or a rice bowl (don) with your choice of fresh sashimi grade fish. Chirashi is available, and by natural extension, you can also satiate your craving for poke. I love the simplicity of the menu — especially with udon, where it’s not trying to bedazzle you with all sorts of names that are essentially “tourist traps”. A trip here always hit the spot

The store isn’t big, just a few seating. I went before closing and was able to get a seat, but I’d imagine busier hours I would need to take out.

So far this place might be my favorite poke/chirashi bowl spot that I’ve been to. For the portion, I feel like this is a pretty good value. Love how the chirashi bowl has different variety of sea ingredients.

Will definitely revisit.

Very tasty seared salmon. I did feel the ratios were a bit skewed, even half rice half salad, and would add a side or try a different bowl next time to improve the experience/feeling of getting good value. The rice in this bowl is pleasantly lightly seasoned.

Addendum: tofu bowl is excellent especially with the chili oil/crisp. Only wish is that there is more veg but that is not their product
Tofu bowl ratios: also need more something to balance out the rice e.g. the curry side

This is a wonderful place. Excellent food. But you’re missing the most basic ramen (no need to add a bunch of different ones), just one original ramen.
I understand that you are a small business and work with a small team. But your hours are terrible. Especially on weekends. Today, I wanted to sit down and eat your signature bowl. But unfortunately, you close for two hours at 2 p.m. I admit that it’s my wish that you work during these hours. But I still want you to be aware that sometimes there are people who would love to eat at this time.

We love the chirashi bowls here. They’re really generous with the fish, it’s fresh, and only $18.95!

Fish in the chirashi bowl was very fresh and had solid portions. Good amount of wasabi and ginger as well! Not the biggest fan of the shrimp but everything else was solid. The mixed tonkotsu bowl was also a nice option for those that like variety. Was made to order and the meat was juicy and tender. Would have liked some cabbage on the side but otherwise quality and portion sizes were really good

Semi self service style. It would be better to have more ordering machine. The bowl looks small but still come in decent amount. The fried pork coating is a bit damp. Chirashi is fine. I would recommend half rice half salad.

Very tasty chirashi bowl! We got the Chirashi Bowl and Volcano Donburi. The Chirashi was fresh and yummy but the Volcano was not really good.
Staffs were very nice and friendly. Will come again if I’m in the area next time

6/22/24: came here for dinner because I was in Fremont. This time I had beef bowl and my friend had Unagi bowl – both were very tasty

I would share photos of the rest of the food but it looked so good I immediately dug in.

I appreciate the consideration of the chef for my daughter’s sea food allergy and making something that she could enjoy

Im visiting from Portland and I will remember this place when I come back.
