I visited with my two boys recently and we ate here for breakfast and evening meal for 2 days. The times we visited to eat were very quiet, 7.30 for breakfast and 3.45 for tea. Breakfast was good, self service and everything available. I would say for gluten free it would be nice to have some cornflakes available for any younger GF eaters but he did enjoy his GF toast and some beans. Our meals at tea were really nice. The ladies serving us were both really friendly and helpful. I would say the service on our second night was very slow, they could have done with another server as it was slightly busier being a Friday. We waited a very long time and had to ask to order some deserts. Was lovely when they arrived though. All in all I would definitely go back.

Our waitress Zoe Was friendly, helpful and welcoming from start to finish of our time in the restaurant. She was patient and kind not rushing us to order and reminding us of any deal or extras we could have. She was calm and this helped to create a happy and relaxing space for us all. She was moving around looking after everyone and no job was too big for her. She is a credit to the Beefeater team at Great Yarmouth. The best service we have received in a beefeater. We will definitely be back. Thank you Zoe for looking after us. The food was great too.

We visited yesterday 09-08-25 for lunch after turning up to surprise the grandchildren who were holidaying at the Haven Caravan site down the road . A nice relaxed atmosphere where we were soon found a table for 8 and our waitress Hazel looked after us brilliantly, the restaurant is clean and tidy as well are the toilets, we had a mixture of foods all of which were very good indeed. I had the 10oz Ribeye tasty and cooked to perfection. For afters Hazel recommended the black forest gateau and she wasn’t wrong a beautiful slice of heaven on a plate. I would like to thank Hazel so much for making us feel welcomed and looking after us all so well.

As a long standing customer and constant visitor over many years I feel the need to express my dissatisfaction over my recent breakfast experience.
Coffee machine not working

Juice machine displaying a long standing notice of troubles resourcing Orange juice

No pancakes
No choc au pan
No bananas

We love a brekkie here but unfortunately over the weeks the food has dropped in all aspects

A party of 9 attended to find very little ready to eat

Fantastic place, Please ask Lynne to do your peach Melba Mocktail (in the picture) was lovely I ended up ordering 3.
The food is good, however I wouldn’t order the nachos didn’t have any flavour to it and I didn’t really like the cheesecake but that’s just personal preference because I have a sweet tooth.
The service is slow unfortunately, however the staff were fantastic always willing to help you in terms of food allergies, more ketchup for the kids or drinks or if you need to order more food etc always have a smile on their face. Thank you to Lynne for telling me and the kids about the fireworks otherwise we would have missed it.

If you have kids the kids meals are nice and great price.

Overall I will be coming back again.

We had a table at just gone 5pm on a Friday night, the whole evening was worse than faulty towers, we had to ask twice if anybody was serving as we appeared to be just left at the table, when we finally got served we got our food before we even got a drink! They didn’t see a problem in this. I ordered the bbq ribs, I’ve had them before and they had been nice, now these were spicy, I don’t do spicy! Pointed out to them, that you could see chillies on them, manager came and said lots of people have complained and that they are now coming in marinaded in chilli, before they add the bbq. Admittedly they offered to cook me something new, but my group would have been finished before I got my meal, I took it home in a doggy bag for my partner! He loved it though agreed that it would be too spicy for me! When we finally got the bill, it was wrong! The cocktails were on the menu as 2 for £12 yet they charged full price, when we complained they took the bill away and only took 72p off, I had to explain to them again that this was still not right! Food and drink was overall very nice, but don’t expect to be served quickly or very efficiently.

The breakfast was horrible there was nothing out no pancakes no bread no fruit and the full english breakfast was bare they had no bacon or sausages and it took 20 minutes to get anymore as the chef was working alone which was so unfair as he had to do everything there was no hot drinks as the machine was apparently broken the yoghert was all mixed in one pot which is unhygenic we paid £88 for the breakfast for 8 people and barely got any money worth when we asked if we could have hot drinks over the bar we got told no as they didnt have enough staff. We come here regularly for meals and was serverly dissapointed in this experience i did not expect to pay that much money only to have nothing back.

In the last few months, it’s gone downhill considerably. Food supplies are often out and management aren’t staffing to demand resulting in too few staff to support. This means the continental breakfast often runs out of basics such as bread for toast. The hot drinks machine wasn’t working and I was advised they had insufficient staff to make any at the bar. The chef was on his own – absolutely no support.
All in all a pretty poor experience which given where it was about a year ago, is really disappointing.

First time at Great Yarmouth Beefeater. We always enjoy taking our grandchildren, as there is always something on the kids menu for them to enjoy. It’s a Saturday, we are given the menus and eventually make our choices. My daughter ordered a chicken burger, only to be told that all burgers weren’t available as they had run out of buns. My grandson ordered pizza, sorry there is no pizza. I ordered nachos, which they had but the salsa they had run out of.
If the staff had simply told us what wasn’t available before we had looked at the menu, it would have been helpful. However, a resteraunt that offer a range of burgers, and run out of buns by early Saturday evening, are asking for trouble.
