La Lisca is the kind of place locals swear by, and that alone says a lot. The vibe? Pure magic. A DJ spinning classic funk, people dancing under the pergola, and the scent of fresh Sicilian seafood filling the air.
We started with sardines and burrata, rich, creamy, and balanced.
Tuna tartare, vibrant and citrus-kissed.
Nero di seppia pasta with cuttlefish, bold and unforgettable.
Tagliatelle with ragù, hearty and deep.
But the real showstopper? The tuna belly. I’ve rarely tasted anything like it.
Finished with a cloud-like tiramisu, just boozy enough.
The wine list celebrates Sicily, and the staff knows how to guide you. Service was relaxed, thoughtful, and never rushed.
This wasn’t just a meal, it was a Mediterranean mood.
We’ll be back. Again.
Must-try: Tuna belly, tiramisu, cuttlefish pasta
Funky atmosphere with local soul
5/5
Good advice for local wines.
Last point – lovely decoration and ceramic pieces on the table.
The food was exquisite – the raw seafood excellent, the pastas similarly excellent, and the one dessert was not too sweet and quite tasty. A wine recommendation was as good as the food. The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The space is cozy and there is an outdoor section.
Even if you are going to Catania but not Siracusa, think about an evening trip for dinner.
Service was excellent, the servers were friendly and knowledgable, and anticipated all our needs. We ordered the peppered mussels starter, the grouper pappardelle, the tuna belly and ended off with lemon gel-o.
We told the waiter we would share the pappardelle and he said he would plate our 1 portion onto 2 plates for us, I thought that was very considerate as we have been dining around and have never been offered that.
Mussels were amazing, plump, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Tuna belly – indescribable, the char was perfect and the middle bits just melted in my mouth. (Our picture only shows half the portion because I forgot to take a picture before starting :)) Lemon gel-o was unique and not too sweet – perfect.
I would go back in a split second.
This is not a regular fish restaurant that is super fancy and expensive, with white tablecloth only for the richest! This is an awesome, cozy, heartwarming restaurant for everyone!
You should ask for Francesco so that he can explain their signature dishes and the fitting wine! We ended up with some awesome raw fish platter, seafood carbonara and the octopus .. paired with an Etna Rosé, not with a white wine, like you might expect. Everything was awesome! The whole experience. Food. Drinks. Staff.
Francesco was also really eager to help us out with other recommendations across the whole island for Bars, Restaurants, Events, Wine Yards and much more! Thank you so much!
I hope, when we come back next time, we can call you Ciccio ✌️
