Great bar food, crispy wings, juicy burgers and a great selection of beers on tap (43 when I visited). It’s barside ordering and there.can be a.wait to order when busy. Decor is good too with large displays of bottles , taps, and local bobbleheads. It’s a little on the pricy side but in line with what you would pay at other downtown establishments. Overall, I think it’s a.geat place to stop before or after a Cleveland game for alcohol and grub.

City Tap FTW! Only bar downtown that is open 365 days a year and stays open til 2:30AM no matter what. Shout out to Steve! Best bartenders in the biz! Every single one of them are top notch. I’ve been coming here since 2017.

Good and bad. Good: food, beer selection and one of the bartenders. Bad: the other bartender. He had no personality and for some reason he didn’t want to wait on me. He walked past my empty beer glass at least 5 times. Then proceeded to restock glasses practically right in front of me and wouldn’t even look my way. I am very patient because I know bartenders are busy but it was ridiculous. The only reason I got a refill was the other bartender who came all the way from the other side of the bar to ask if I wanted a refill. Will probably find a new place to hang out before a show. Kudos to the other bartender. He was on top of things and very friendly.

I’m not one to ever write negative reviews unless it feels absolutely necessary. I will never come back to city tap. The negative attitude from the 2 women bartenders and manager Cat on Thursday February 19, 2026 left me speechless. I’ve been here one another time with a gf of mine. During that time, I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap sub grilled chix for crispy. Male bartender I’m not sure of his name was kind and helpful and said no problem. Yesterday I bring my gfs there before the Cavs game specifically because I’ve been craving that wrap again. Once I go up to order the wrap, the bartender starts saying we don’t do crispy chix here, that’s not something you can get, and that they don’t even make it for their own workers. I was taken aback by that because I have ordered it before. My response was exactly that. And I even told her I have a picture of the wrap on my phone and told her exactly where I sat (the upstairs area) when I ordered it the first time. The attitude was unsettling and she proceeded to say I’ll go ask her (the other bartender). This other bartender comes over to me and says yea no that doesn’t happen here etc. What I was the most shocked and honestly extremely insulted by was when she said “you must be thinking of a different establishment”. I was angry because how do you think that’s okay to say to a paying customer who purposely came here for that exact item. I told her again like I told the other woman that I have photos and where I sat and I even found the texts with my friend planning the time to go to city tap. I closed out our drink tab frustrated and left hungry. If there is higher upper management please do something about this because when my mother approached cat she couldn’t have cared less what she was saying either.

Great drinks, attentive bar service, delicious burger (per my hubby), and fresh, hand-cut fries (not greasy and perfectly cooked). The cajun wings were crispy and well seasoned (not spicy at all), but had too much fat on them. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. The fries were my favorite.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, which is why I’m generously giving 4 stars. I wasn’t expecting this, though. I think this place is a true sports bar. I didn’t know that. Someone told me they have good burgers, and they’re hand pattied. My husband hears or reads about a good burger, and he has to try it. So you go in, the music is blaring. There will be no conversation.
The seating is all angled and oddly placed, so you may be able to watch the game, or you may not be able to. Because of the way the seating is placed, you may get a piece of a bar to eat your food at, a full table, or wing it. We found a regular table in the back.
You seat yourself, scan the QR code for the menu, and then go to the bar to order. There is no service. If you need something, you go to the bar. The only service is there or when they bring out your food. That’s it!
My husband ordered the Western Burger. I didn’t get a great pic, but he said it was really good. It was loaded with bacon. Not like 1 piece cut in half. It had about 4 good, crispy pieces on it. He said he would absolutely buy it again. My son ordered wings. He said they were good. I ordered chicken tenders, and they sucked. The fries are the real winners, tho. They were so amazing. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had.

A loud, bustling sports bar right next to the fieldhouse with great burgers and extensive drink options.
After running through the snowy streets of Playhouse Square searching for any place with an open kitchen, a noisy oasis opened its doors for us. Inside was a bustling crowd of post-game Cavaliers fans enjoying the holiday evening.
Tables are all first come first served and you order food at the bar. We were lucky enough to snag a too large table for our group of three but happily traded it to a larger group for the smaller table they had found. For this busy night, they were running a limited menu. The bartender was patient with me as I figured out food and drink while he had plenty to take care of.
As we settled into our seats with our drinks, the food was brought up to us not long after. We were hungry and had put in a lot of work to get to this moment. The burger not only hit the spot, it obliterated it. I quickly wolfed down the burger and fries. It wasn’t the easiest visit of the weekend, but it was a great way to cap it all off.
Go here if you’re looking for that lively sports bar experience. The place is massive and has two floors and you’re never far from a TV.

Great spot to watch games, or pre-game before a game or concert. There is a big beer list with a bunch of local ones. The food is standard bar food…liked the Fire Breather Burger. Service is pretty quick and attentive. Plenty of TVs around. Decent amount of seating inside and some outside…but definitely gets crowded pre-game. I go pretty often.

Wonderful inner city craft beer bar and restaurant. At least 40 different and unique craft beers. Different styles from ales, to wheats, to IPAs to BBA stouts! Their wings were coated and actually, meat fell off of the bone! Wonderful decor or lighted liquor bottles and all sorts of Cleveland athlete bobbleheads on display
