Drinks at Brunch! $2 for a single, $4 for a double mimosa. $ 5.50 for the bloody mary bar where they bring you the vodka over ice and you go doctor it up yourself, I don’t see how you can go wrong unless you’ve never tried to make your own bloody mary! This is a weekend MUST TRY!
Food: where do I even start??? Brisket Hash was my first time having eggs over brisket with BBQ sauce, I was not disappointed until I realized I’d powered through all my food and wanted more! (Don’t judge me, I forgot to eat yesterday so I was hungry!!) These flavors might not sound like they are meant to be but let me tell you, *chef’s kiss* I was on it like you wouldn’t believe. The side of fresh fruit was good too, soft honeydew and cantalope was a refreshing surprise. I asked the nice waitress not to steal my plate while I doctored up my boyfriend’s bloody mary! Since my boyfriend is so great, he let me steal a few bites of his pork chops breakfast! Crispy, crunchy breading, super moist pork chops! Even 10 minutes later, the part covered in gravy was STILL crispy to munch on!
Potatoes were a bit on the bland side for his portion (maybe a little rosemary?), but a little extra salt helped. Portions were on the larger size, well worth the price.
Dessert: who knew we’d get this far since I don’t think I’ve made it this far before!
Peach cobbler bread pudding with a rum sauce was super sweet, but so dang good! Heavier than expected before you even consider the scoop of ice cream on top.
Tavern brownie a la mode with white chocolate ganache drizzle. Chocolatey, warm brownie with extra chocolate on top! Frozen ice cream to even out the temperature when you take a bite, what a perfect pairing!
Atmosphere is great for chatting in the middle of the space, could be a tad bit louder for actually hearing the music. Service was pretty good, attentive and kind.
It’s no wonder the parking lot was full, this place is well worth it!
Happy hour is $1 off tap beers and their quesadilla and chili are both amazing!
See you again tomorrow!
Immediately seated and greeted by our server, Jessie. She quickly brought our drinks and gave us her top 3.
My wife took her advice and chose the Chicken Philly with Garlic Fries. I had the Tavern Burger with Onion Rings. Both meals were EXCELLENT.
The menu is priced well and a variety of options. The drink menu is pretty impressive and priced well. NATTY LIGHT on draft…..
Overall, I would definitely recommend eating here and looking forward to eating here again….
There is absolutely inadequate parking. Good luck. I’m handicapped with a bad hip so it was a nightmare trying to get to this place.
Came around 1:30 in the afternoon,.so we had to order from the brunch menu – which was very limited versus the full menu available after 3pm
Had the fish and chips,.and a Philly cheese steak. I should have known it would be a bad time when they didn’t understand what cheese wiz was….
The Fish had burnt breading and the inside was on the cool side. The fries that came along with it were either undercooked or burnt depending on where i ate from on the tray. The coleslaw on the side had a terrible aftertaste, a cross between stale apple and coleslaw that had sat in a hot car too long.
The cheese steak sat real heavy. Meat was excessively fatty. Bell peppers were not chopped up fine but just large chunks that overpowered the taste of the meat. Cheese had good consistency. Bread got soggy quickly from the fats running off the meat. The onion rings on the side were very undercooked. Breading was not crispy and just sloughed off the onions that were barely cooked.
Had some peach cobbler bread pudding for dessert that was ok, maybe excessive on the cloves or spices. Texture and flavor overall was good.
The coke I asked for to drink had almost zero ice in it and was near room temp when it was served. The second glass I received when I asked it to be corrected was little to no improvement.
This was not at all worth the $47 Inpaid for all of this. For all the hype people push on this place, it just plain sucked
