Lunch was wonderful. The mozzarella sticks were a pleasant surprise from other restaurants. The meat lovers pizza had a smoky, mild spicy blend of flavors. I would recommend to check out. Fun gaming area and for a little nostalgia check out the basement bar.

First time here. Great atmosphere. Got a tour of the basement, how fun would that be. Food was plentiful and delicious. Quick service. We came around 4 pm, party of 6, wanted to visit. At about 4:45pm we were told there was a party reserved at 5 pm for the Garden Room so if we could finish up. And the party members were setting up their space while we finished. That was very awkward. We should have been seated elsewhere with that party planned. We felt rushed out. Just an FYI

This is our second time here and we really love the food and service! We had the patty melt, French onion soup and the smashburger. Our tater tots were cooked to perfection as well as all the food we had! Aubrey our server was wonderful, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that our experience here at KRH was fantastic. We definitely will be back!

When we first walked in for our reservation, we were ignored for about 10-15 minutes because the hostess was on the phone while the other hostess was wandering around doing god knows what. We got seated in a pretty nice section with pretty holiday lights and festive decor. I don’t want this review to be personalized to one person, but our waitress only saw us two times throughout this entire experience: once to ask what we wanted to order, and the other time to ask if we wanted the check. When it finally came time to pay, I sat around for about 15-20 minutes with my card in the book, no waitress to be found anywhere. I had to walk up to the bar and pay right there instead because it was ridiculous to wait that long just to pay. I’ve talked mostly about the service here and how horrible it was. Now let me talk about the food. I ordered their smash burger, and boy was it bland and dry. I had to drown my burger in mustard and ketchup to get some sort of flavor. McDonald’s has better burgers than this place. Fries were cold and bland as well. Overall, please do yourself a favor, save yourself the money, and go down the street to McDonald’s instead and save your tastebuds and money.

Went to brunch and the food was so good, the space was so cute, but the service was not good. The bartender just doesn’t know anything about the specials and kept saying maybe or I don’t know for all our questions whether it be about pricing or the specials for the month. If how she answered about our concerns were better then I wouldn’t have given her such a low rate but that wasn’t the case.

First time in a long time. A Wed night. Very chill in the best way. Great service, great food. Best smash burger in the area. Reuben appetizer was also better than expected. A good selection of apps, handhelds and entrees. We will be back!

Since 1974, Kelsey has been serving the locals and neighbors of the Lake Barrington area. With a rich history, the new owners (who aquired the business and property 2 years ago) have renovated and re-vamped the property, and the response has been stellar. Kelsey is a family friendly all inclusive bar and restaurant with 4 bars and 5 separate venues. They have an extensive menu for all tastes and appetites. The original Kelsey, located in the basement, hosts Pop-Ups for major holidays such as Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, and St. Patricks Day. They do recommend reservations for the basement during these times as they have become very popular and slots fill up quickly.The Kelsey Crew is warm and inviting and welcomes each and every guest with a smile. The quirks of Kelsey are what makes it feel like home, for example, you may get a different glass each time you order the very same drink! There is an on-site arcade for the kiddos when you enter the main doors (although they do recommend keeping an eye on your youngsters). They will have live music every Saturday throughout the Summer at the bonfires (weather permitting). Otherwise, the bands will be moved indoors. They open at 11a.m. daily with full menu offerings, daily specials, Chef’s Choice Steak of the Day, and Chef’s Choice Fresh Catch of the day. Happy Hour is from 3-5 Mon-Friday and that includes select $8 appetizers as well as discounted draft beer, wine, and well drinks. Kelsey is a great place for your events, no matter how small or large your group may be. Multiple venues are available for private parties year round, and they even host weddings. Kelsey really does it all, all while giving guests a truly wonderful dining experience. Would highly recommend for your next date night, family outing, or private party! Favorite Handheld: Steak Sandwich (My family opted to add on Bacon & a Fried Egg upon the server’s suggestion for an upcharge). Great staff, very attentive.
