Stopped in for both breakfast and dinner while in the area. We stopped in first on a Friday night for dinner. It was busy and parking was difficult to find. There was also a 15/25 min wait to be seated. My wife ordered the Mac&Cheese w/chicken and I had the Whitefish. Both meals were good and full of rich flavor. The portions were of normal size not oversized with decent pricing. We returned on Sunday morning for breakfast before haeding home. She had the Crack of Dawn and me the Morning Star Burrito. These meals were both good, also. Parking on Friday was a bit difficult, but Sunday morning was a breeze. Overall the service was good we did have to wait a few times for refills even when not overly busy.

Great location that’s easy to find. The drinks were fabulous and I highly recommend the watermelon mojito… it was sweet and refreshing. Our server Brittani was super friendly and personable, and our food was served piping hot and fresh. We had the wings basket and the pretzel sticks. Yumm!! I would definitely recommend this quirky, fun place if you’re ever in the area.

We had such a great breakfast at the Wheelhouse Diner that we came back for lunch, which was also fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was delicious for both meals. We had a wonderful experience here — don’t miss the goats and the rescue dog, Ed, in the back. I think this was one of the highlights of our trip to the UP!

If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that gets everything right, this is it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive without ever feeling rushed.

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and golden, the eggs were cooked just the way I like them, and the coffee was hot, rich, and refilled often. You can tell they put real care into every plate.

What I loved most is that the portions are generous without being overdone, and the menu has something for everyone, whether you want something hearty or light. Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality and service.

The Staff was over the top hospitable and friendly I felt like I was at a friends house! Wish you all the success in the world!!!

Great place! Ordered The spicy cheese curds which were super good. Also had the club sandwich with fries. Learned about putting vinegar on my fries before dipping them and ketchup. Gotta try that. Our server Ronda was super good and the atmosphere was great. No waiting I no issues parking. Check out the goats in the back. There’s inside and outside cupboard seating.

We stopped in after visiting the Shipwreck Museum. All of our food was really good and our waitress was friendly. The mushroom burger was one of the best I have tried. They also have a few little recreational games in the back. I would go again if ever in the area.

Our family of four spent $101 before tip. I think the whitefish was $26 (market price) which is a lot for a fillet on a plastic plate. We had two whitefish, a shrimp Alfredo, and a kids menu chicken tender basket. The local brew on tap was flat. (We sent it back for a Two Hearted.) Just way too much to spend for the quality of the food. Waitress was well below average with her service, after bringing our food she didn’t return, we could see her just zoned out instead of bringing us our check. Overall the experience here left a lot to be desired.

SO GOOD! We had a party of five and a dog with us when we visited for lunch in mid-October, and their food was just what we needed after touring the Shipwreck Museum all morning. We sat on their front porch, which is dog-friendly, and ordered a small smorgasbord. Highlights were definitely the onion rings (please order those if you have any inclination toward those!), the French onion soup, and the Drunk Sailor burger. And before you leave, go visit the goats who live back behind the restaurant!

We knew we were in the right place when we walked in on a euchre tourney in the front room! The whitefish was the best I’ve had: perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the draft beer was perfect. The snowmobilers at the next table gave us an insider’s tip on where to cross country ski and we chatted with the trail groomer at the bar! This place seems to be the community hub and made a warm landing after our long drive up.
