First time going and this place was amazing! Early dinner/late lunch so there was one other group there besides us. We got seated, more people came in and sat with my fiancé and myself, no big deal. The head chef Michael was amazing. I have a food allergy and he was amazing with making sure that my food didn’t touch the food I’m allergic to. He was very sweet, interacted with our table well and cooked our food wonderfully. Definitely plan to go again. And when we do, were will be requesting Michael.

My daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday at Sakura- Hibachi style -because there were 10 guests and we thought it would be fun. Our reservation was for 5:30p
Our guests arrived by 5:45p. We had to wait another 15 minutes to be seated. The host was slovenly, and was wearing a mask. I couldn’t hear him and he rudely shouted whatever he was saying but it didn’t include an apology for our table not being ready for us.
The server took our drink and food orders and the hibachi chef began to light the flame and commence preparing our food. We all have experienced Hibachi many times and expected to be laughing and engaging with the chef. Not here-not with this boring, lackadaisical
kid. It was the most painfully boring and solemn 20 minutes. No interaction except to ask how the red meat should be cooked. We actually STILL tipped him $50 and he made a comment about going to McDonald’s? What? There was definitely a yellow flag when we were seated there really wasn’t a jovial atmosphere in the whole place! My daughter had a 36” Mylar Birthday balloon attached to her chair but no fanfare at all! Instead one of the servers came out with the check and handed it to one of my guests after I specifically asked to receive the bill! I asked them if they could at least sing to her and give her dessert. They only offer cheesecake.. whatever it was something. I was sooo disappointed in the “chef’s” lack of personality, and rudeness and host had the professionalism of a dead fish. I’ve honestly had more fun at a funeral!
I will say the food was delicious! But I’ll never go again-neither will any of my guests. I don’t know how
this place is so popular!

Offers both hibachi and sushi. We opted for the sushi and it did not disappoint. They were even nice enough to offer us a free appetizer to taste while we waited for our sushi. Out server was very gracious. Would return when we go back to the shore.

Came here the other day just for a casual dinner. I always have a really good experience. Food was great, our server was nice, could have been more attentive. My only issue was the bathrooms. They are absolutely disgusting especially the females. Toilet paper everywhere, piss on the ground and had a strong odor of piss, the sinks was dirty. For the prices how is it going to be expensive and nice and have disgusting bathrooms. They were unusable. Looks like nobody checks them.

Been coming here for years to enjoy their wildly entertaining hibachi. First time eating at the sushi counter, and did not disappoint. We were seated quickly. Fresh, well prepared sushi. Chefs were friendly and interactive. Even gave us an amuse-bouche! 5 stars!

We were Greeted as soon as we walked in the door and we’re able to sit at the sushi bar right away.staff is extremely friendly and helpful with any questions about the menu or the sake’s or beers they serve. I was finally able to find a sushi restaurant that served Uni, definitely a must try! The wife and I have eaten here numerous times and we will always go back. Besides the sushi, they also do hibachi which is a great experience. These pictures of the sushi platter should speak for themselves.

This is the best sushi I have had in Jersey. Took my fiancee on a sushi date got seated and our server was great. The sushi guy gave us salmon sashimi on the house too. Will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be going back.

This is our first time experience dining in the restaurant. When we enter the restaurant no one came to ask for anything then my wife have to go and talk with one of the staff that we need a table for 2. I had teriyaki chicken, my wife had steak and others have steak and chicken mix. When the chef giving the food on the plate it looks like portions are not the same. Those who order steak and chicken mix entree’s they got bigger portions rather than ours also kid’s portion was bigger than our entrees, which was really shocking to us and we really don’t understand the reason. Apparently he gave mixed vegetables before the fried rice as starter. We also ordered spicy tuna roll which wasn’t spicy and the wasabi oh my god that wasn’t close to wasabi we find on the supermarket. Rice was half boiled. And no one came on the table middle of our dining so we can’t order anymore drinks. One of the guest have to leave the table to ask for boxes. And then we order the dessert strawberry shortcake which was really good. We really enjoyed the dessert.
