My wife and I visited Keg Steakhouse last night for a special date night, and we were really looking forward to it. We ended up spending about $125 per person, and while the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly, the food really didn’t live up to expectations.
I ordered a 12-ounce New York strip, asked for it medium, and it came out well-done, which was a real letdown. On top of that, no one checked in on how the steak was, so we didn’t get a chance to have it corrected. The appetizers were pretty mediocre as well, and the drinks, which were around $15 each, didn’t really stand out.
Honestly, for the price, you’d be better off cooking at home where you can get the flavor and the doneness just right. I’m pretty surprised that a steakhouse at this level had trouble getting these basics down.

I ordered the steak and lobster. The steak was cooked correctly but didn’t have much flavor. Some A1 made it better. The lobster was delicious, but for some reason the melted butter was super salty. The vegetables were very good. The bread was fresh and still hot. My waitress was very attentive and passed by often to see if I needed anything.

Ok tonight was crazy. But Yabee was incredible. So kind, sweet and understand! Yabee went above ab beyond being so very accommodating an amazing. Her enthusiasm and kind heart truly made a bad expirance a better one. Id come back to just enjoy Yabees good nature and table side adittude!

We did take out for Valentine’s Day. Waited over an hour to get our food. When we got home, which we live just ten minutes away, our food was cold. My steak was extremely dry, over cooked and charred. Our tuna tartar smelt and tasted horrible. The chicken was super dry. The veggies weren’t even seasoned. The mushroom Neptune was so little for the price. Didn’t even get our bread. It was so disappointing for the price we paid for the dishes and the service. We will not be eating here again! We had to throw away most of it because it was almost not edible.

The lights are so bright it feels like a cafeteria. We asked to dim them and the manager said no. We’ve come here every thanksgiving for years but won’t be back. We all have headaches. Server was lovely. But this is uncomfortable. Chicken on salad not great either unfortunately.

My wife tried a new entree – Prime Rib Sandwich
I ordered my usual Keg Classic Prime Rib, medium rare.
Onion soup (wife’s appetizer) was delicious!
My plain old Caesar salad was crisp and cold – like it should be.
Fresh sourdough bread came out hot … we ate two loaves … not sorry.

Entrees were excellent – wife had the prime rib sandwich and fries.
She only ate half – leftovers tonight!
Most of my prime rib and baked potato came home also – leftovers are even better.

Restaurant has been remodeled – we miss the artwork on the walls.
Also, the acoustics make the rooms louder … brick and wood …

SUMMARY” Our favorite place for celebrations – birthdays, anniversary.

Food was AWESOME!! Sea Bass was fresh and moist, with a beautiful flaky texture and a rich, buttery flavor that melted in my mouth! The Steak was cook to perfection with a beautiful crust and that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Also the cheese bread was the BEST I have ever had!

Overdue review alert: Came for The Keg’s Thanksgiving set meal and had a very nice experience. Even though the place was packed our waiter and the wider staff did a fine job keeping things moving but not rushed. The bone-in ribeye was solid and the turkey was good too. All in all a commendable effort.

My husband ordered the two lobster tails. When served the one looked foamy . He tried to eat it and all of it was foam. Told the waitress. She did bring back two good tails.it grossed both of us out. They acted like it was no big deal. The manager was never shown what they served him. We should of left but we had a gift card. We never would of paid for that mess.We won’t be back.

The food was delicious, but a bit under seasoned had to add a lot of salt and pepper to almost everything and request extra sauce for the shrimp to make it tastier. I don’t think it was marinated or seasoned at all. But the service was awesome. Drinks were always full and they made sure we constantly had everything we needed.
