Cozy spot with an upscale forwardness to it that’s the vibe at RL. It feels classic Chicago, polished but not pretentious. If you have reservations, you’re in luck. You’ll glide right in and get seated. Us? We like to wing it. And I mean truly wing it. My advice get there early and snag a seat at the bar. It’s a tight space, but honestly, the magic is in the bar. That’s where the energy is. We went for brunch and split the recommended burger and fries (solid choice), plus a half dozen East Coast and West Coast oysters. Paired it with a glass of wine and it just worked. Simple, well-executed, and exactly what we were in the mood for. Be prepared this place fills up fast. Either plan ahead or have a backup plan if you’re walking in. The wait staff was friendly, drinks were good, and the overall experience felt worth the effort.
We’ll definitely be back. But give it a try for yourself.

Its so cute and cozy! There is not a lot of tables or room in the restaurant. I would say super large parties need to check ahead of time, and in my opinion this is not a place for children. They do have signs on the table that say you can have the table up to 45 min. I went during Christmas time and the decorations were so festive. I got the gingerbread oat milk latte it was so good. They also offer Splenda.

I loved RL! The place to see and to be seen!
You have to make a reservation, otherwise the wait line could get quite long. We walked-in and requested a reservation for the following day, and we got it.
The service was excellent! The couple of food items are ordered were very tasty, the crab cake was devine!!!

Ralph Lauren Restaurant was such a wonderful experience! We mentioned that we wanted to share a burger and a salad, and they surprised us by bringing everything already split and beautifully plated. I’ve never seen such thoughtful and attentive service. The burger was absolutely delicious — perfectly charred, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time!

Dined with my parents and we had a blast! Jake was our waiter and he was phenomenal. Sharp, knowledgeable and quick without rushing us. Will be back for sure. There also was a curly haired guy who was helping with tables and I want to spank myself for not remembering his name, I should’ve written it down. Will be back and will update his name also. GREAT STAFF. Great food and drinks. Key lime pie dessert off the charts.

Had such a fun time celebrating the start of the holiday season here! The Canyon Burger was delicious but the mashed potatoes were the STAR of the show! All of the servers we interacted with were fantastic, they made our dinner so fun. The restaurant is very tightly sat, which was overwhelming with people constantly bumping into my chair. A few less tables would make this place much more enjoyable and less chaotic.

What a great place to celebrate a party of 10. Service here was really good. Food was fantastic! I highly recommend the Corned Beef Bites, surprisingly really good. The ambiance was a 10 out of 10! Will be coming back to try other dishes!

The seafood was fresh. The chicken was cooked well, but I found the flavor lacking. The real standout is the atmosphere. It feels warm and inviting inside.

The taste was average, and the service took an hour. Why did the seafood platter take so long to arrive? The birthday cake didn’t even have a “Happy Birthday” message written on it, that’s awful. And no one poured the red wine.

We celebrated my brother’s 25th birthday. We ordered oysters and calamari as appetizers. Each of the dish was delicious. We had RL burger, which was yummy. The service was exceptional. We got great suggestions on food and drinks. We didn’t have to wait too long for the meal. The atmosphere was inviting and packed with other diners. The prices are reasonable for restaurants in the heart of Chicago downtown. I also, really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant with care to every detail inside from the paintings on wall to vase with flowers to dress code for employees everything is well thought out. I would recommend to visit RL and experience this inviting place.
