Walking into the back private sit-down area of the cafe is like a dream. Everything is tastefully decorated in light pink, white, and gold. Staff are exquisitely trained to provide excellent service and are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Those looking to experience an elevated tea and prefixed light lunch while enjoying hints of Hello Kitty will be pleased. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service are enjoyable, even for those who don’t know much about the Hello Kitty franchise.
It’s approximately $65/person for about 4 courses of small bites paired with a beverage of your choice. Portions are small (bite-sized) and most foods have dairy and gluten in them. Value for the price may be better with larger portions and/or more healthy allergy-friendly options, but overall, it is an amazing place to visit. Fans will not be disappointed.
We took my girls and mother in law to celebrate a birthday and the staff kindly accommodated adding some cupcake Hello Kitty character decorations to the food for our birthday girl. They also brought out a special birthday cake for her and decorated her first course with chocolate dust in the shape of a birthday cake. Needless to say, she’s been talking about her experience ever since and is begging me to take her back.

Absolutely amazing for a first-time tea experience, let alone for my 21st birthday this year on October 23rd! Made a reservation for my special day earlier this month on the 3rd of October and the afternoon tea set along with the tea was an indulgent experience! I came with a close friend to our reservation, and we both got separate pots of tea, since every person can choose their own pot of tea. They first started us with a cup of chopped strawberries and airy chocolate cream, and it was delicious! I got the Birthday Tea, which consists of raspberry and hibiscus flavor, and it wasn’t tart, but rather delightful and sweet. My friend got the Apple Tea, and both teas were surprisingly fragrantly sweet. The treats were cute, small and bite size but combined with the other treats and drinking tea, we got pretty full within the tea session. The staff explained the tiers to the both of us and it was all so enjoyable. Overall, everything was super cute, and the staffs working were attentive, as well as asking us in the beginning if there were any dietary restrictions which can be super helpful for people who have special food accommodations! The experience overall was super fun and the food was delicious. So if you’re wanting to fulfill your childhood dreams in the form of tea time with Kawaii influence, or are a Hello Kitty or Sanrio fan like I am, Hello Kitty Cafe’s got you covered! This experience and place is what childhood nostalgia and dreams are made out of! ☕️ ✨

What an adorable cafe!
I still remember when Hello Kitty items were exclusively found at Sanrio boutique stores before they became available at Target, Walmart and other stores. Seeing this Hello Kitty Cafe at Irvine Spectrum made me feel like this was an exclusive spot – just like it used to be.
All things Hello Kitty (and her friends) are nostalgic and will easily draw me in – especially since I used to work for Sanrio at the mall as a teen.
Walking into the Hello Kitty Cafe, I was immediately welcomed by the familiar Sanrio drawings. It was also a perfect opportunity to buy some sweet treats for my cousin who was heading out to Hawaii the next morning. I purchased the madeleines because they were individually packaged and came in a cute pink box, as well as some fresh mini donuts (cinnamon sugar mini donuts). These were delicious!
Overall, the little treats did but a smile on the gift recipients’ faces. As their old saying goes, “Small Gift, Big Smile”.

Beautiful and super cute cafe that focuses on aesthetic. The drinks and desserts are really great too. The apple pie was very delicious, not too sweet and great texture. The decorations are cute and perfect for photos. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I love hello-kitty, and that’s why it brings me to this experience.
The food was not the main point that we are here, so I forgive it if they are not somehow tasty. The atmosphere was great. I would say it is a one time experience for all Hello-kitty fans.

Super cute and delicious!
We didn’t visit the tea room, just got madeleines to take away! They were so yummy and great value for money! You get eight in the box and they are individually wrapped, so they stay fresh and yummy for a little longer than some of the other cakes would have. We were stuck between a few things for what to get and the staff were so kind and gave us their own opinions to help us choose! The madeleines were the right choice!

I visited the Hello Kitty Café at Irvine Spectrum.
The place is super cute, and the desserts and drinks looked and tasted great.
It’s mostly take-out, and the “Bow Room” inside is a reservation-only area.
Even so, it’s worth stopping by if you like Hello Kitty or just want a cute dessert spot in Irvine.

Tried the pumpkin cold brew my first time with cold foam & I usually don’t do cold foam but this was pretty good. Didn’t taste much like pumpkin but was still good. I also got the chocolate cake which was dry. The top layer was heaven like Godiva but it was only the top that was good. If they added another layer in the middle it would counteract the dryness possibly? It had a white chocolate bow which was pretty good. Definitely will visit again & try something else on the menu. Was very cute inside & worker was very nice.

I visited the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe on July 19th to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a wonderful experience. We made a reservation for a party of seven in the Bow Room, and everything was perfectly arranged for us. The staff made the occasion feel extra special, and the cute Hello Kitty–themed atmosphere added so much joy to our celebration.

It’s Hello Kitty cute in here! This spot inside the Irvine Spectrum, this Hello Kitty-themed speakeasy is an adorable hidden gem!!! The bow-filled decor is playful and insta-perfect, making it a must-visit for HK/Sanrio fans. The interior is cozy yet cutesy. Cocktails are priced between $18 to $22, which is pretty reasonable for the experience. Each drink is thoughtfully crafted and often comes with a cute Hello Kitty twist. Whether you’re here for the drinks or the vibes, it’s definitely worth checking out! 🙂 be sure to make a resy before hand~
