Took myself out tonight to this gem in the city. I may be a little late to the Burg’r & BARREL game, but late is better than never. My first burger was overdone with the mustard, and the owner Nia was incredibly lovely. She noticed it immediately and insisted on having her team remake it. My server Jess was so friendly. Even though I came near the end of the night she was so engaging and kind. The burger was delicious and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I will return, but not just for the food. It was for the way they made me feel. I never knew a burger joint could feel so welcoming. Thank you Nia and Jess for taking care of this Google guide!

The food was very good and even excellent for the price. We both ordered burgers and fries, and it was less than $45. It’s really a great atmosphere. The problem is they didn’t have enough cooks tonight and we ended up waiting about 45 to 50 minutes on our food.
It’s understandable if you understaffed, but the waitress didn’t check on us but like one time during that wait.
If it wouldn’t have been in such a long wait or if the waitress would’ve checked on us a couple more times I would’ve give them a five across the board.

I would rank this restaurants atmosphere and setup alone, among the best in Johnson City. The decor, the lights, the floors, everything about the structure and layout is unmatched. We went on a Friday night, it was packed but the place feels huge so we didn’t feel over crowded. All the staff were very friendly, didn’t have to wait long on anything at all! My wife and I ordered a variety of things. She loved the pear cocktail. I ordered the South Rail and she ordered the brisket. Our brisket was a little dry, pulled pork was ok, street corn cup was alright. Over all our food was ok. Definitely recommend.

Decent food, pretty bad service, really cool atmosphere. We waited in the booth for about 15 minutes before being greeted by a server. We got the feta dip as an appetizer. Entrees included burgers, a salad, wings, and the grilled chicken BLT. The BLT was described by my niece as “mid”, and my wife and I found that to be a fitting description of our burgers as well. My sister explained that her salad was decent but oddly too salty. My nephew enjoyed the wings. The mac and cheese, unfortunately, is probably inferior to boxed Kraft mac and cheese. Overall, the food was decent but definitely not worth the price tag.

Always enjoy eating here when we are in town. Our server Caleb is always on point with suggestions and everything we have tried has been so good. He is always making sure we are taken care of. My favorite to order is the salad. It’s so plentiful and fresh. I always recommend this place to eat to all of my friends.

Found out the pulled pork was frozen, just didn’t have good texture or flavor. Asked for well done, burgers were so dry and black with black bits. Pork belly pieces on burger were burnt and hard on one side you couldn’t eat it. Onion ring batter just wasn’t good in our opinion. Onion straws were good, but way too greasy in the middle of the pile. Fries were meh. Spinach dip was practically all spinach. There was barely any cheese, it was thick and hard to pick up with the few chips that were given. Waitress did well being new.

This restaurant is Located in an old train station in downtown Johnson City. They have great outdoor seating areas. The fire cracker pork belly appetizer is delicious. The epic deviled eggs are also excellent. The salads are a must try. Our only complaint is the wine pours are very small. They use a small glass to make it seem like a normal pour.

This place is a must go!! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Cowboy burger which had burger, pork belly, crispy onions and cheese. This was so delicious. My meal came with hand cut fries. My husband had a bacon fest 1000 with fries. My mother in law had a pulled pork platter and she really liked it too. Afterwards, we had yummy dessert that the owner (I think it was the owner) maybe head chef makes fresh. We had a Black Forest ice cream cake and a slice of toffee cheesecake. Our waitress, Hannah, was wonderful! She was so kind, attentive and very sweet! I hope we get to have her again when we come back.

Great place with some great food, my server last time I went was amazing. My mom and I loved Leo Maupin, this kid was genuine and actually made both of our nights fantastic! Best service I’ve ever had in downtown Johnson city. 10/10 would eat here again! Same server next time! Can’t wait for the tasting in February!
