I took some childhood friends here for the first time earlier this year. One of them was visiting from Korea and staying in Kensington, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to cross The Cottage Cheese off of the bucket list and give him a Michelin Guide Toronto experience. And thank goodness I did. The service was attentive, patient, and impeccable. The food – every item – was fantastic. The atmosphere is great for people watching outside.

Less than two weeks later, I brought my fiancée and another friend here based on that initial experience. And again, the service (a different waiter) was over-the-top welcoming. To be honest, our dishes-ordered to time-spent-in-the-restaurant ratio was probably not optimal (we were there for a long, long time) and there wasn’t a hint of being rushed out the door by the team. Just a perfect hosting environment.

Over the course of two visits, we’ve sampled quite a few dishes and there were no misses, but particular highlights are the Sichuan Chicken Tikka, Pistachio Lamb Chop Korma, and the British Chicken Tikka Masala. And the Kheer for dessert – just do it.

Also, lastly, our friend has a gluten allergy and I’ve never seen waiter so dutiful in his mission to keep gluten (or potential gluten) from this man’s plate. Truly remarkable defences.

Came for the winterlicious lunch menu for a birthday event. I have both good and bad things to say about this restaurant.

We are vegetarian & had no problem with the menu, they had more than one option to pic from which is always appreciated. For the entree we tried the cauliflower bites & the beetroot steak. Both were 10/10. Just wish the beefroot steak portion was bigger like the cauliflower bites. For the main we tried the okra masala & the rose petal paneer. Both were so delicious. As someone who loves some made okra, this is one of the best okra dishes I’ve had at any Indian restaurant. And the rose petal paneer is just like a typical shahi paneer. Sweet and yummy. We got the garlic naan and the plain naan. Both very well made. Lastly for dessert we had all three options. The rasmalai brulee 8/10, baked gluab jamun 8/10 and the pistachio kheer 10/10. Loved it so much

For drinks we had the spicy mango margarita, tamarind sol, winter refresher and the passion fruit martini. All were so good but the winter refresher was by far the best!!!

While food was delicious, The only issues we’ve had with the restaurant is that it was extremely cold on the right side of the restaurant where the booths are. We were freezing even though the had a heater in that corner. Also the server was rushing us out to fill in our spot for the next reservation even though we weren’t there long. Infact we were 30 min early to our reservation.

Overall I would come back for this menu. I haven’t tried their regular menu for food but I would come back for the two vegetarian mains & the pistachio kheer.

My partner and I had dinner there, and it was fantastic! We tried Tandoori Fish Roulade, Green Garlic Naan, Veg Biryani, Saag Paneer Kofta, and drinks – Delhi Diplomat, Ginger Lumiere. The Veg Biryani captured wonderful aromatic moisture, and the dried tomato added an awesome kick to the Tandoori Fish Roulade. Saag Paneer Kofta tasted divine and was on another level – I dare say it was the best Indian dish I’ve ever had! The cocktails were good but lacked a bit of depth and complexity. All in all, I loved the experience and would definitely go back.

We went here on Saturday night with a group of 12 (adults & kids) and had such a great time.
The apps were all amazing, but the lamb dish was definitely the winner—I’m still thinking about that curry sauce! I also really liked the Chicken Chettinad, which has a nice little kick to it if you like some heat.
Huge thanks to the staff for the incredible service. It’s not easy to look after a group our size on a busy weekend, but they were so patient and attentive the whole night. Honestly one of our best group dining experiences in Toronto lately!

Amazing dining experience from start to finish! I don’t frequent Indian restaurants due to having a low spice tolerance, but everything here was tolerable spice-wise and absolutely delicious. The amount of flavour in every bite was astounding.

My partner and I came for Winterlicious (dinner). The beetroot steak appetizer was the highlight of the meal actually! I was so surprised at how delicious it was. I got the butter chicken with jeera rice for the main dish and it did not disappoint. Lastly, the rasmalai brûlée for dessert was the perfect palate cleanser and it was just the right amount of sweet. The service was also 10/10, and our waiter was very attentive. We will definitely be back to try out their regular menu. ✨

I came for the Winterlicious experience. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The appetizers were average and the main course (butter chicken) was one of the worst I had in Toronto. After 2020, I believe that Indian restaurants in downtown have become quite authentic, but not this one. The butter chicken was one of the sweetest I’ve had, tbh it was sweeter than the sweet dish. I understand that some restaurants bring spice level down based on guests, but the servers usually give you a warning/disclaimer before order, which they didn’t. They dint even tell me while I was paying that 20% gratuity was added to the bill, to which I think I’m at fault as well. But tbh, they should’ve not given an option to select the tip after adding gratuity. Honestly, for the gratuity point, I also take blame coz I tipped 18% after the gratuity was added. Even though we booked a week in advance, we were seated right in front of the door and my feet froze after an hour. Overall, it was one of the worst winterlicious experiences I’ve had over the past few years and I would never go there again. Or even recommend this place to anyone. There are far more superior options in downtown now at this price range.

I’ve been in Canada for 3 years now and I’ve tried plenty Indian places to eat as I love Indian food. This place has, by far, the most extraordinary food. The depth of taste in their Dahi ke kebab is incredible. The dal makhni was top notch and the green garlic naan was a delight! The paneer tikka was soft and delicious and the gulab jamun dessert tasted heavenly. Will definitely bring more friends to eat here and will visit it often!

Second time back and it is a really great restaurant. Appetizers are always perfect. Pictured here are Bok Choy chaat and dahi kebab with avocado chutney. We were also served a complementary beetroot fritter, which was very nice. Mains shown: daal makhani and lamb Rogan Josh. Lamb was tender and flavourful. Daal was rich and creamy but for our taste has too much elaichi, to the point of being over powering. Otherwise a fantastic meal!

Tried their winterlicious menu. It was good amount of food for the price. Some appetizers stood out than the others. The entrees were better and the desserts were a miss! The baked gulab jamun was a syrup soaked mess! The ras malai creme brûlée was mehhh

Would like to try their regular menu next time!

We went as a group of 4 for dinner. The place and decor is very aesthetic and cozy. The servers were very attentive and our water was always full and never empty. The food was good. We got the bread platter which I HIGHLY recommend if you’re going with a group. The different types of fresh naan were my favorite part of the meal.
The chicken tikka masala was okay. The flavor was definitely great, but I couldn’t get past the fact that something was missing. I am a huge fan of spice, especially if I’m eating Indian cuisine. Compared to other tikka masala I’ve had, I was a little disappointed at the lack of spice, not that it wasn’t delicious of course.
I was only made aware AFTER our meal that we could add spice levels to what we order. Idk if I missed this in the menu, but I wish it was made more clear in the menu or by our server. The menu itself I think should’ve been more consice. It was a bit long, overwhelming, and none of the accompanying photos had text underneath to indicate what dish they were (unless I missed something). Out of the whole menu, there was only ONE dish that had a spicy symbol on it, and it was an appetizer.
Overall, great place, wonderful service, and would recommend for a night out, just wish everything was made more clear.
