Simple, orange-hued eatery preparing Mediterranean basics like kebabs, shawarma & salads.

We ordered the chicken shawarma, lamb kebab and falafel, and each got the Arabic tea with sage. Service was incredibly fast and friendly. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Loved the hummus! The owner and chef checked in with us to make sure we enjoyed our food, which we appreciated. Definitely worth the trip!

This place has the BEST Schwarma and Falafel ive ever eaten in my life! The lamb shank on the weekend sells out and it’s absolutely delectable as it falls off the bone. The baba ganush is super fresh and the meat on the kabobs are super flavorful, tender and juicy! Even the French fries were great! The owners are awesome, really good people and in my personal opinion this is the best Mediterranean feast in the city! We liked it so much we have been twice in an week and a half since we first discovered this hidden gem of a spot!
Pro tip – Try the Barbican to drink is a fruit infused delicious malt beverage! (no alcohol)

I stopped in here, passing through town and was pleasantly surprised. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hummus is amazing. The salads are great, hummus is amazing, and kebabs are awesome. The sauces that came with my meal are mind blowing. When I came in the guys were closing I ordered my meal and they gave me some extra stuff that they didn’t wanna throw away. These guys are awesome. The flavor is unbelievable. The rice is delicious. Do yourself a favor come here for lunch or dinner. You won’t regret it.

I had the ribeye at Jerusalem Restaurant, and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. The seasoning was spot on, and it came out just the way I like it. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great too. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for quality food—I’ll definitely be back!

We tried Jerusalem for the first time recently. The young man (owner’s son) seated us and immediately we realized he does NOT want to be working for the family business. He was particularly impatient when asked if they offer gyros. We were told, “No! This is Mediterranean food!” We were brought a bottle of tepid water and can of sprite. No cup/glass. No ice. We both ordered Schwarma (since gyros weren’t an option). I asked for fries in lieu of rice but was met with, “No, you want rice.” After a quick debate, he finally accepted my order of fries. So, the food was good! We were hoping to bring home baklava (also Mediterranean), but it didn’t look fresh. Not sure how quickly we’ll return to Jerusalem. It’s too bad because we were looking forward to a new restaurant.

I’ve been 3x now – the chicken schwarma is incredible! The sauces were really good, I especially loved the spicy sauce. My husband really loved the steak sandwich, and the falafel were perfectly cooked. They have a small counter seating area in the room where you order, but there is also an attached dining room with several tables and plenty of chairs.

Stopped on Friday night after a friend recommended this restaurant.
I ordered a few of the chicken kabob plates and it was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality of the food. The owner was very kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Portions were good and everything tasted homemade. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic food and great service, I definitely recommend Jerusalem Restaurant in Peoria.

Best Mediterranean food I’ve had so far, around Peoria! Friendly & kind service, and the taste is impossible to beat. Thank you, everybody to served me, today. I will definitely be back.
*The only thing is the atmosphere is mediocre and a little cramped, & I wish they had put the prices on the menu, because I didn’t realize one meal and a drink would be $25+. Still, I thought it was very worth-while experience, even if a bit pricey.
