Had a great meal at Cousino’s Steakhouse today. This restaurant has been at this location since 1945 and they still deliver/serve a great time and meal. This is the third generation of the Cousino family owning/operating this restaurant at this location. They are known for their steaks, but they also offer seafood and other dishes(roast beef dinner, chicken parmasan-which is quite delicious, there’s a full menu to choose from). Had a strip steak, salad and casserole potatoe, this is one of Cousino’s staple meals. This meal, as with all their dishes, are never disappointing and Cousino’s is just a great restaurant. There’s also a full bar menu(drinks-beer and liquor and also a great wine offering). Their staff is very friendly and helpful and will try to make your night-out /meal very rewarding for your group whether there’s 2 or more guests. I’ve been eating at Cousino’s for over 60 years and have yet to be disappointed

Bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly, best first to last bites I’ve ever had. Portion sizes were good. Only cons were that the potato cassarole had an inedible baked crust on top, but maybe thats how it’s made. Basically everything was delicious. 176$ for two peoples steaks and two appetizers, a little pricey but I was aware going in and we’d have gone to taco bell if price was our big concern. Staff was great, our waitress was amazing and other staff were also friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great, lots of neat little touches like the big ship model etc. i wanted to take my nephew to a nice restaurant for the experience and we both really loved the food and honestly each got two meals out of it with the leftovers we brought home.

Wife and I preferordered the chicken piccatta and the chicken parmesan. Both were excellent. Service was great atmosphere vintage and tasteful. One small gripe, portions feel a little small for the cost. But quality is top tier so still 5 stars

Food : Steak was done to my preference, but my mashed potatoes tasted like they had garlic powder poured into them, inedible.
Service : Waited 20 minutes for refills (on water), we were a table of 10, and were told we needed to order quickly because if not it would be waiting 45+ minutes after the other before they could start on our food. (we had reservations, not like we just popped in)
Also the onions tasted like the chef cannot pull out onion skin. Inedible.
Atmosphere : Nice on the inside, super dated though. Looks like a classic 80’s steakhouse. Men’s bathroom was gross.
The manager pointed at our table telling the waitress that if we didn’t order quickly they wouldn’t serve us for 45 minutes. While she was standing next to our table. Which blows my mind if you accept a reservation and then do that.
Also for a party of 6+ they add 20% gratuity. I always tip well for good food and service, but after getting a strip steak for $50+ with the problems and being told to hurry up, I won’t be back again. It’s like the manager and waitress didn’t care about our table because they knew they were going to tack on that 20%. Ontop of that its a 3% (OF YOUR TOTAL BILL) fee for credit cards.
This place has gone bad, very bad prices, service bad, and manager bad. Avoid!

What can I say…it was edible. Oh, and way over priced. i had Cory’s fried chicken. The chicken tasted like flour( I use a flour, salt and pepper for my homemade fried chicken and it’s amazing so no excuses). The gravy was definitely jarred or powdered and only got a little bit of gravy on top of the chicken on top of the mountain of mashed potatos. So it was soaked up in the perfectly oval piece of flour chicken. Bland ,bland, floury bland. My husband had the english roast beef( the better dish of the 2) bland gravy but all in all not too bad but not worth $30. We tried the signature potato casserole and sorry but gag me with a spoon! Service was exceptional, atmosphere was great if only the highly over priced food compared! Sorry

Cousino’s Steakhouse has a truly charming space with classic appeal. The ambiance takes you back in time with its nostalgic decor and warm atmosphere. This visit, I indulged in the prime rib (end cut), which was cooked to perfection. It paired beautifully with their house potato casserole and a house salad topped with their homemade French dressing. This place never disappoints, but today was my favorite visit so far. Can’t wait to come back!

Ok the pros. The food was amazing. From the appetizer to desert. Our waitress was super friendly. Ordered the Jumbo shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were huge. The bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly. Lots of options for desert and I got the chocolate turtle cheesecake. It was probably the best cheesecake that I’ve ever had. My wife and the French onion soup and she loved it. The place was clean and they did their best to make it look like fancy restaurant.
Now the cons. Way OVERPRICED, $16 for 4 Jumbo shrimp is ridiculous. As good as the steak was it wasn’t worth $50. Plus it’s $4 each for sautéed onion and mushrooms. Deserts were actually reasonably priced. Drinks were expensive. They give you 3 rolls for 2 people, really?
Now the worst part was, they seated a group of 8 with 2 noisy kids. Kinda ruined the experience. There was a separate area that they could have seated them in more suitable for kids. With all that said the food was a 9 out of 10. Unfortunately I will probably will not go back. I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and my bill would have been at least $100 cheaper. And it would be a more acceptable place for ignorant parents that like to bring their kids to a restaurant.

To be honest this place is all show and that’s it! The prime rib is very un delightful, their special sirloin is nothing special. When u ask for a little Cajun they smother it in n it’s not edible. I can cook a steak hella better. I rather waste $60 at the grocery store for a steak to cook myself.

Special thanks to Cory the chef who was so accommodating in adding last minute selections for the event and Charlie and Maggie who were our phenomenal servers. Food was delish and a great time was had by all.
