First time dining here, nice atmosphere. We arrived mid-afternoon and had the dining room to ourselves for a while. Food portions were generous-we ordered lasagna with meat sauce and spaghetti with meatball.

This is our second time here, and honestly, the standout was the service. We had an amazing server named Derek. At one point, I was moving my pizza off the tray, and it completely flipped onto the floor. I told him I didn’t want another one because we had plenty already. But Derek went ahead and brought me a fresh pizza anyway. The service was absolutely top-notch, and because of that kind of care, I will definitely be back.

I’ve heard good things about the prime rib here so I had to try it out. We ordered a regular cut and shared between two people. It was plenty for both of us. The meat was tender but not as flavorful as I expected. I liked veal parm as it’s juicy, tender and cheesy. The spaghetti with meat sauce was a bit sour for my taste.
The restaurant is dark in general. I liked the decorations, got a nostalgic kind of feeling. The waitress was friendly. Overall experience was ok but I don’t think it’s a place I would visit on a regular basis.

I didn’t eat here I just took out and it was loud and crowded as heck, weird combination of a dive bar an Italian restaurant.. really does feel like a Pizza Grotto.. but I’m super here for it? I want to sit down and eat next time. Grabbed pizza from other Filippis locations before but they didn’t have the ambiance of this one. Unique.

I had a great experience at Filippi’s Pizza! The food was really good, everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Our server, Ashley, made the meal even better with her amazing service. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. The atmosphere was nice, though it’s a little on the darker side inside — but honestly, that didn’t take away from the experience at all. I’d definitely come back and recommend Filippi’s to anyone looking for great pizza, eggplant parm, and excellent service!

Not all Filippi’s pizza are the same. Apparently this location is the best as far as food and atmosphere. They have the formal dining room and lounge area with the bar if you want to chill. A lot of the locals come here to hang out.
Did you know that they have a secret menu? We ordered from the regular menu. We got wings, ravioli and lasagna.
Both the ravioli and lasagna had the same sauce. I wouldn’t order that combo again. The wings were dry rub, large, and juicy.
We didn’t find the food to be that great but the atmosphere was the place to be that evening. We will for sure be back to join the locals and order spicer wings.

Really good food. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. It’s my families favorite place so when we visit from out of town they bring us here. We got pizza and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We heard the prime rib was best in the city, we’re inclined to agree. The pizza was also excellent. We avoided coming here for so long because we thought it was a chain, but it’s got one of a kind old school charm and has very well crafted casual food that makes you feel the magic only local gems can harness.
Solidly a place to enjoy dining in, the service was amazing.

Have come here several times before and haven’t had any issues with the pizza…except for a few nights ago. I’m a night shift nurse and this place is always good for a filling meal when I wake up late in the day. I waited 25 minutes for my pizza (no problem there), however when I arrived to pick up my pizza and pay for it, the cashier opened the box to show me my pizza. The lid corner was embedded in the crust, so when she lifted the box lid, a slice almost fell out, still clinging to the lid. Again, I didn’t have any issues with that. But then the cashier with her bare hand grabbed the corner of the slice attached to the lid, placed it back in the box, and said “is that ok?”. Stunned and mortified, I didn’t know what to do. I hadn’t eaten anything for over 12 hours because of my work/sleep schedule, and my body couldn’t wait another 25 minutes for another pizza. Defeated I accepted the partially contaminated pizza and threw away what had been touched. I don’t have any issues with the pizza here, but I hope this can serve as a teaching moment for employees to be more mindful in the future of food safety. It was disappointing to pay $30 for a pizza only to throw out 1 or 2 slices 🙁
