OMG! We are major Mexican inn fans but this location is heads above the rest. Tonight we showed up with 11 folks. Being a 35 year veteran of the restaurant industry I am generally analyzing everything. Place is full and rocking, with only 3 servers. Most restaurants would have crumbled In this situation, but your staffs dedication to excellence and the fact that you manger is quite frankly the best I’ve seen in many years ! It was an amazing experience and We Thank You for making our family Christmas event better than awesome. Food was awesome as well , with excellent presentations.

Love how it feels like old mexico when you walk in the door. Then you get those warm, fresh, corn chips, and a smooth margarita. Anything else you get just adds to the experience. This is a place to relax and enjoy from beginning to the end. Even the cost is less than I would expect for the quality.

I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Mexican Inn Café, as it’s a long-standing spot in Fort Worth, but unfortunately this experience missed the mark.
The service was practically nonexistent — we spent a lot of time waiting and didn’t feel attended to throughout the meal. Sadly, the food wasn’t far behind the service. The flavors and overall quality just didn’t live up to expectations or the restaurant’s reputation.
I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it helps, because I know every place can have an off day. I’d be open to giving them another try down the road, but this visit was definitely disappointing.

Overall: This was our first visit here and this place was honestly a SOLID 4! The food was delicious, but there was still room for improvement with the service and atmosphere. However, that’s really not that important because the food is GOOD!
Food: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND SINCERELY APPEARS TO BE MADE COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH! Everything tasted so fresh, we thought they had their own garden, cows, pigs, chickens in the back. The tortillas are legendary and we couldn’t get enough. Highly recommend eating here at least once. We’ll be back.
Atmosphere: it’s pretty much bleh. Wouldn’t go there to watch a sporting game, but would go to enjoy the moment and just relax. So it’s just a different type of feel.
Service: just regular service. Not bad but also not life changing. They did there job and that’s all anyone can ask for.
Parking: not too much but enough. It’s on the corner of the street.
We will return and the Cafe has a rich history.

We all ordered water (2 adults, 3 kids) and one of the kids straws, already in the cup, had some sort of darker colored liquid in the straw, as if it had already been used. It took quite a while to place our order. The chips looked good, but were very greasy, cooked in old grease. The rice was dry, the beans didn’t have any flavor. The Pollo con arroz was pretty good, and the server was friendly.

Chips were amazing, salsa a little too spicy for me but husband loved it
I typically don’t like corn tortillas, but they were incredible!
Kids got typical corn dog and chicken tenders which were meh
My brisket enchiladas were not as great as I expected- brisket was a little dry but with the tortilla and queso on top still good. The beans were watery and runny and really inedible.
My husbands tacos were the same- ok but brisket dry
