I had an amazing visit here, even though the wait was super short. It was totally worth it, from the drinks to the food. The hibiscus was perfect, and the mole enchiladas were spot on. Not quite like Grandma’s, but it had a unique flavor my taste buds loved. I had to try the flan and I must say it also checked the right boxes; the fresh berries were a nice aesthetic and delicious touch. Eduardo was attentive during my visit and thoughtful enough to mention the no refills on my drink, which was no biggie. The vibe has a rustic feel with modern, upbeat music, which was pleasing.

My wife and I had just come back from a Whole Foods trip and decided to grab dinner at Chihuahua’s. It wasn’t our first time there, but this was the first time we didn’t have a great experience. The restaurant is amazing, and the interior decor is perfect. When we walked in, the hostess greeted us, and we were seated in about two minutes. We got our drinks and placed our orders. The food was delicious! Our waiter, though, wasn’t so great. He didn’t bring extra napkins, and another staff member brought them to us. The wait time to get refills on our drinks was way too long. He checked on the table behind us but didn’t check on us. I noticed he spent a lot of time at the front station chatting with the hostess. We waited for almost fifteen minutes after we finished our meals while he was hanging out with the hostess. I was getting a little frustrated with waiting, so I raised my hand to get his attention and waved him over to get the bill. I couldn’t help but chuckle when I got to the tip section of the receipt. I’m not saying we won’t return, but if we get him as a waiter again, I’ll politely ask to be moved.

I Don’t review a lot of restaurants on Google, But I really like Chihuahuas so I decided to give a review here.
It’s been so long since l’ve had a chance to stop here.
We moved out of town for an awhile. Now we are back. We were Looking forward to seeing Oscar, our favorite bartender from the past. But apparently he’s no longer working here. But that’s OK because we still had a great time and a great bartender. His name was Eduardo. Very friendly, polite, and professional. And he made it perfect Cadillac margarita. I really miss this place. The best Mexican food in town and really great workers.
What we ordered :
Cadillac margarita
Miami Vice
El Volcan Molcajete (split)
We sat in the bar area. They have a row of half booths. As I said earlier, the bartender was great. He took my drink order right away. They let him know my wife is on the way and asked him to have a Miami Vice ready for her. As soon as my wife sat down, the drink was there for her.
I did seem to take a little while for the dinner. But it was amazing as usual. I like the way they give two small plates of rice and beans for two people.
Everything was perfect.

We had such an amazing experience at Chihuahua’s Cantina & Grill, and it all started with our incredible server, Paris. She was truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and on top of every detail from the moment we sat down. Paris made us feel genuinely welcomed, checked in at all the right times, and delivered the kind of service that turns a good meal into a great one. She deserves all the praise!
Our food and drinks came out lightning fast, and every single person we interacted with was friendly and upbeat. The energy in the restaurant is just fun and inviting.
Now let’s talk about the cucumber margarita… absolutely to die for! I ordered mine spicy and it was pure perfection — refreshing, flavorful, and with just the right kick.
If you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and truly outstanding service (ask for Paris!), this is the spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Reno NV has the eats! The fine Mexican establishment should be on travelers radar. You can fine excellent dishes with original recipes such as the Chile relleno burger, chilaquiles verde, carne asada burrito and the eggxellent steak and eggs. They use a fine New York steak with prime cuts. I can’t wait to go back and try more of thot menus and drinks from their bar. It is aesthetically appealing and the service is very good.

Came here to eat dinner with my family, staff was super attentive, our table got the chile relleno burger, asada fries and fajitas and all the food was amazing! We’ve ate here once before over half a year ago; and didn’t have a bad experience which prompted us to try it again. And this time they blew it out the water with the staff being on point and food tasting delicious! Definitely will be coming back!

Everyone here was phenomenal!
The food was absolutely wonderful, and the restaurant was very festive! We ordered the Bandera Burrito and the Chile Verde Chimichanga, and both were absolutely delicious!! After dinner, we enjoyed the apple chimichanga, and my goodness, it was so yummy! We walked in about 5:30 and were seated right away. Our drinks were served immediately (non alcoholic) everyone was friendly and helpful.
This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal.
