We had a large group of over 35 people, and his staff team went above and beyond to serve us! They consistently checked in on us, refilled drinks throughout the entire event, and served us with a SMILE! Customer service was incredible!! They were not overwhelmed by our large group and continued to ask us if we needed anything, serving us with so much love and care.
The food was delicious! Everything was flavorful and tasted sooo good!!
I recommend this location, and if you are a company looking for a location to host an event, check this location out and ask for Zach!
The interaction didn’t feel welcoming at all, and it didn’t seem like there was any interest in having us dine, especially with the comment about closing soon. I completely understand not wanting to keep staff late, but at 4:15 pm on a Sunday, I felt like it was still a reasonable time to come in for a meal. If you wanted to close early for the superbowl, why wait until 5? Just close at 2:30 so you don’t get any confusion.
Because of the response, we decided to check out another place nearby instead. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, and I actually tried to email through the website first to share this feedback privately, but there didn’t seem to be a way to do so. I was formally a great review. That’s obviously not the case now.
I would strongly suggest offering a clear option for guests who want to give feedback directly to management or ownership. Many people would rather communicate concerns privately than leave a public review. This experience was disappointing, but hopefully the feedback helps improve how situations like this are handled in the future.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at **Pure Taqueria in Brookhaven**, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Sitting at the **bar**, I was immediately impressed by the bartender’s **outstanding service**—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Their ability to balance efficiency with personal engagement made the experience even more enjoyable.
Beyond the stellar service, the **restaurant’s ambiance** stood out. It’s **spacious and impeccably clean**, offering a comfortable yet lively atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.
And the food? Absolutely phenomenal! I ordered the **grilled chicken dish with black beans and Charo beans**, and it was nothing short of perfection. The flavors were rich, bold, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to quality ingredients and authentic preparation.
For a **mid-scale dining experience**, the **pricing is more than fair**, making it an excellent choice whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a night out with friends. **Pure Taqueria Brookhaven** truly delivers top-tier food, service, and atmosphere, making it one of my favorite spots in the area. Highly recommended!
Fine, whatever, we’ll deal. This was not our 1st time here & typically the service is great, but OMG, was it off the mark that night. I asked the server for the chips & salsa with tge 3 types of salsa, she says they don’t have it anymore. Fine, we’ll take the chips & salsa on the menu … she brings out what I had just asked for. Could she not hear us over the noise from the girls at the adjacent table? Why not move closer to me instead of standing at the total opposite end of the table? There was space to maneuver.
I sure couldn’t hear her … mouth barely moving while she mumbled whatever.
Then it was the reaching across the table to fill our water glasses after we had to flag down someone else to get her attention.
And the cherry on top, she stopped serving us to eat & her kids there eating with her.
C’mon! Lucky for her they handed the check to my husband & we were with another couple, because it would have been, “No tip for you!” … If you know, you know.
I told my husband that if tonight’s experience had been our first, we would have never gone back, he agreed.
I had never been to this restaurant before but I wanted something good to eat and this looked like just the place.
I sat at the bar and asked the bartender to make me whatever he wanted. He made me a margarita with a little jalapeño and a tajin rim. It was good! But that spice definitely got me in the back of my throat.
I asked him for his recommendations and then chose the Salmon con Vegetables. It’s salmon, fingerling potatoes, onion, corn, spinach, mushroom, avocado, pico de gallo, and queso fresco. I asked him to switch the salmon for the red fish. Then I asked if it was going to be filling or should I get rice too? He said, “how about I bring you the meal as is, and if you want rice, I’ll bring you rice?” I said ok but asked for chips and queso.
And here is where I fell in love. He brought me a side of chopped jalapeño! I didn’t even ask. But, I guess, since I asked for the hottest hot sauce, he must have just known I like a kick. I was like, oh this guy is a winner for sure!
The chips and queso was so doggone good. I don’t know if it’s cause I was so hungry or what but, that didn’t taste like the chips and queso that I make or have had before. The food, hands down, was phenomenal! If I’m ever on that side again, I’ll go back. With tip, I spent $50.
