Atmosphere and service is 100%! We had Sarah as our waitress and she was so pleasant! She frequently checked on us without being over barring and had good recommendations of the menu. The trout & scallops were amazing. The special 8oz Chimichurri steak was good too. We also got the brie salad and I appreciate that they had a mocktail menu.

The food was absolutely delicious—such a great experience discovering new flavors. I love that they use locally sourced ingredients; you can really taste the quality and care in every dish. The service was excellent as well, very attentive and welcoming. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it

Smoked pork chops were SO good! Also their duck breasts are delicious. Highly, highly recommend this place. Best food we had while visiting Asheville.

Lovely place. The craft cocktail was delicious and. The front desk was kind when we couldn’t find parking because of a show in town.
The pork rinds were really well done and the honey was just right. Scallops and trout were on point, but the risotto was not great. Atmosphere is great; perfect for a date night. Mark was the perfect balance for a server. Not obtrusive, checked in regularly at good times, and knowledgable about the menu.
We had a large group behind us with small children and even with the close proximity the tables are laid out well enough to not be invasive of conversation.
Might return next time I’m in town, I think we may have just ordered the wrong thing.

Incredible “snacks” we got the cornbread. Risotto was cooked perfectly. Sensible portion sizes meant no left overs or wasted food. Waitress so amiable and helpful. Drinks were delicious.

Loved having the local sources on the menu. The flavor combinations were wonderful; the warm fruit brie salad was phenomenal. Can tell it is fresh and deliberate ingredients.

There’s a reason that this is the only place you can get a reservation — and it’s NOT GOOD. Service was mid and food was so weird from spam-like steak tartare presentation to unpalatable flavors (pasta with the mahi mahi straight up tasted like tomato bouillon straight out of the package). The fish was good, but we couldn’t make the pasta work. None of us could get over how such a beautiful presentation could be so bizarrely inedible. Service started out great, then our waiter never came back half way through service. He was there too. The girls that took over had no interest in asking how we were doing or why I didn’t eat my food. The only thing they were quick at was cashing us out. Do yourself a favor and plan in advance…get reservations to a higher rated restaurant…otherwise you’re just throwing $200 into the trash.

Blackbird was our first visit for dinner on our weekend Asheville trip. I got the duck, and I forget the name of the cocktail they made. Everything was very good and tasted of real quality. The aesthetic in Blackbird is great too. Plenty of greens everywhere give the place a different touch than the average restaurant. Our waitress was extremely friendly as well. We will be back when we visit the Asheville area again.
