My family has been coming here 25+ years, and it’s still the best catfish and tartar sauce I’ve ever had. Ooh and the complementary hush puppies with tartar sauce is chef’s kiss. Waitstaff is great too. Ask for Victoria, she’s so sweet and attentive. Highly recommend!! 9/10- only 9 because the walk way up into the restaurant is severely steep to walk. I use a walking staff, and I can only imagine what difficulty wheelchair users must have going up and trying to come back down. Other than that, excellent place.

I have been wanting to go here for about all 40 of the yrs that this place has been around but due to one thing or another, I passed. Most of the time it was because I didn’t live close to it or had plans to eat at Kemah, Galveston, or other places along the water from The Monument to all the others around Baycliff. I should have known better after the several years I was gone while in the military and this place remained. Anyways, I’m happy to have been in the area to give it the chance it deserved a long time ago. To my surprise the weekly specials were good, the prices were fair, and for my first time there, I really enjoyed my blackened fish plate. The daily fried fish plate looked good as well but I would have preferred it a little less fried where the fish is real juicy throughout the filet. Most places have a very crunchy tail piece of fish and batter. The veggies were excellent, tea was sweet, rolls were nice and hot. I will be returning to this local establishment for my seafood hunger pains for the foreseeable future. Great job by the workers and waitresses too, they stayed on top of everything.

I love that this place serve real catfish. My only problem is they lack seasoning. It appears the fish is fried in straight cornmeal without seasoning. On the other hand, I understand they may do this due to dietary restrictions related to many customers. The lack of seasoning is not enough to stop me from going; nothing a little hot sauce can’t fix I love the customer service, REAL CATFISH, and prices. This one plate fed me for lunch and dinner

Studies have been around for a while. Their reputation for good fried catfish and shrimp has kept them in business. Like every good restaurant, you must have a good kitchen. The food is good at its basic. Don’t expect anything out of the ordinary. The foods flavor lacks infusion of spices and taste. Like I said ,it is basic. I must say, though, I was surprised that the crawfish etouffee was good.

This place was so much better than I remember. Its been a couple years but was not very impressed which is why I had not been back well I will definitely be here again soon. Sudie’s Thank you for responding and that’s what I am afraid of. Lol. I’m going to definitely have to look at your healthier options if that ends up happening. Can’t beat down homestyle country cooking. Food is great. Prices are more than fair. Service is great. I love supporting honest, hard working local businesses. Had a great experience hosting my wife’s graduation lunch this weekend, I came back for dinner the next night! Manager Victoria and waitress Sarah were awesome. Genuinely great people. The service at Sudie’s Catfish was absolutely AMAZING, Miguel was our server and made the whole experience unforgettable from the moment we sat down. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the bread pudding on a stick deserves its own spotlight, hands down the best dessert I’ve ever had. This spot is a gem and I’ll definitely be back!

Sudies catfish house a landmark in Pasadena, Texas awesome place. Food is fresh, homemade mashed potatoes, the green beans are seasoned great, homemade Mac and cheese, catfish is true catfish and it is awesome, I order mine in strips they are cooked little crispy and just right. Servers are great, friendly and very helpful. They also do caterings. Dessert oh wow homemade banana pudding, desserts are made their too. Prices are good at least they haven’t gone up in price like all the other restaurants. Will be going back for sure. Don’t forget everything is made to order, no heat lamps here, it may take a little longer but you get freshly cooked food.
