Food: the food was good and had flavor. They ask you how you like your bacon and it came out crispy – the way I like it. The biscuit was on the very dry side but it was okay. The eggs and grits were good. The price was right and the amount was good. I didn’t have the pancake but I saw one and they are huge!
Service: very friendly
Atmosphere: cute little diner that gives you a homey feeling. It has tons of Detroit lions items so if you like the lions, you will like this place.
I would go back if I come back to the area.

We came for Festival of Lights and left after a breakfast here. This restaurant came by word of mouth. We had some picky eaters, but they were impressed by their choices. And choices, so many. Do review the menu early to narrow down your options.
We saw a breakfast burrito that needed its own zip code. It could feed a whole table. I just learned I had a pork allergy. I had meat choices. It was also a nice change of pace to get crepes.
You must put this in your rotation & note what you want to try the next time. Service was good. The place was clean. We will be back.

Be sure to come here hungry so many choices on the menu it’s a good idea to look at the menu before arriving otherwise you’ll be spending 10 minutes fighting yourself over what to get. We took the menus advice and grabbed the cinnamon bun as an appetizer. I couldn’t get over how fresh it was. It only lasted a few minutes on our table.I opted for the hurricane which is a delicious mixture of chicken spam pineapple jalapenos swiss cheese in a hollandaise sauce it was set on top of a bed of sweet potato tots. Fantastic! I had to order the corned beef hash on the side which was totally worth it! My beautiful wife got the fat girl breakfast. It arrived so large that even her best efforts didn’t look like she put a dent in it. Ask for Mary. she did a fantastic job as our server. Looking forward to our next visit to punta Gorda so we can come back here again!

Super home town dinner vibe. Seated
and greeted right away. Luc, my waitress, was fun, efficient, and even offered me samples of their sausage versus plain gravy to try. She made sure my bacon was crispy as I ordered and checked on me several times for a coffee refill. The crepes were crisp on the outside, just right, and the cream filling was not overly sweet. I recommend anytime you want a quick, friendly meal, try John House of Breakfast

Food and service here are fantastic! Be aware, potatoes are NOT included with omlets. It’s and extra $5 each. Spent nearly $90 on 4 people.

Best food I’ve had in the area! Found this place on google looking for a breakfast place and the menu looked delicious, and it did not disappoint! I had the Hangy skillet, and it was the best breakfast I’ve had in some time! The service was amazing, my server was on break but that didn’t matter the other waitresses took great care of me and got me coffee and took my order without a hiccup! I asked if the gravy was home made, and I believe it was! I would highly recommend and if I’m back in the area I’ll swing in again! The whole menu looks amazing and right up my alley!
