We could not recommend Cranky Al’s Donuts enough! They provided the donuts for our wedding, and they were a huge hit with our guests — we received so many compliments throughout the night. Everything was fresh, beautifully displayed, and absolutely delicious.
Joey was wonderful to work with throughout the process — responsive, kind, and professional from start to finish. We’re so grateful to Cranky Al’s (and Joey!) for being part of our special day.

A great place to get hot fresh donuts. The line was long and I almost gave up but it moved super fast. Very efficient. The donuts were fresh and sweet and delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Not much to be cranky about! My family and I have purchased quality doughnuts here for 10+ years. Get to Al’s early to see a full selection. By 10 am it’s always busy and a bit crowded. Always quick service. Optional tables and seating available inside. A staple of tosa and north avenue.

Fantastic donuts, but don’t get the cold brew. Admittedly, I took a couple drinks from this, but they were not massive swigs, as I’m sure you can tell from how much ice was left over.

I drive 30 minutes to get here when my kids want donuts! Best in the milwaukee area for sure and such a great atmosphere! Kid friendly and willing to help. Prices are right because of the quality is top tier! Don’t forget about the breakfast pizza!

Our favorite donuts in the area! You don’t have to twist my arm to stop in if we’re nearby. We love the classics and especially the chocolate glazed cake donut! SO GOOD! We usually take a few donuts to go, but they have a nice menu of coffee drinks and breakfast items to enjoy as well.

I went here once and was not disappointed the doughnuts were amazing! I wanted to get a coffee but I decided not to. I plan on coming back real soon but the place smells amazing and the inside is pretty nice. Very nice and quick service also!

First time going to try there gluten friendly donuts for my mom. Which she absolutely loved. She got the chocolate gluten friendly cake donut. And she was so surprised at how non gritty it was, if you dont know gluten free food can be hit or miss and a big thing that changes is texture. But she was in heaven with the donut especially after 4 years of not having one.
I am not gluten free so I picked out there Samoan and OMG it was so light and fluffy and the coconut on top was perfect. Will definitely be going again.

Historic shop at 69th and North in ‘Tosa . Lots of variety on donuts. Excellent apple fritter, cruller, cake donut with chocolate frosting. Very good breakfast burrito.
Beautiful old room with high ceilings, creaky wood floors. Tastefully shabby.
Counter service only. But you can order ahead on web or by phone, avoid the lines and the wwit. But, if you don’t order ahead, well worth the wait
Highly recommend.
Highly recommend.

Visiting from Delaware and we visiting some other shops so the family could experience a crueler and long John. This place was impressive. Do not let the line fool you…they move fast! So many online orders ready to go so that’s an option too. We were impressed with the taste and as my son said, “these are the best donuts we’ve had while in Wisconsin!” You have to try the cheese pocket donut…delicious!
