Ok this is my first time trying this place, I was super excited about it since it has pretty good reviews and nice pictures of the food, I ordered the following:
Pozole (large) 9/10 because but the portion size for almost $20 was definitely not worth it, you will not get enough to be honest. The taste is good but not worth $20.
I also got the Horchata, $6 was steep again 9/10, and finally got half a dozen of churros that was a 10/10 right portion size and fair price for sure, overall the taste is good but prices are a bit high, would recommend for taste, would not recommend if you are on a budget. Thank you for reading!

My coworkers picked up food from here on Friday, 2/20/26. AFTER order was paid for, the lady taking the order had an attitude and almost did not give a plate of food.
I can only speak for my own food: The flautas were dry and the rice was bland. Refried beans were okay.
All 3 of us got sick shortly after eating our lunch. I felt horrible most of the evening into Saturday before I finally felt better.
I would suggest using caution when eating from here. It could have been an off day, but I will not be returning.
$57.10 for 4 plates and didn’t even finish most of our plates.

Quick review. Looking for breakfast tacos in Dallas is difficult, very few places as options. When I found here, I was hoping for good things, but I was wrong. What I got was extremely small tacos, literally 3 bites and done, for way to much money. Dallas restaurants need to visit south Texas where you can still get 3 large tacos for $3.99 not one tiny one for $3. Can not recommend and won’t be back. Unfortunately no photos but wish I had taken some.

We got there right when it opened that’s why I gave it a 3. All of our meat was cold in our tacos. The chips and dip were fantastic. I know there are elements you csnt control, but we sat inside to avoid flies, but they were buzzing all around. Maybe it was an off day.

The place looks clean and organized, I like the wooden tables and chairs, the receptionist needs to welcome customers as soon as we are walking into the door, no Hi, no Hello at all, they just look at you when you enter the door.
The tacos are good, it has a good tasting flavor and you get 2 tortillas with every taco “as supposed to be in our traditional tacos”.
At the end the receptionist waitress was very friendly, she had a great attitude and always smiling, I really loved that.
I totally recommend El patron tacos.

Found pieces of plastic in my Menudo. Shouldn’t ordered towards the end of the day, I guess. Definitely won’t order from here again.!

Horrible customer service. You tell them exactly how you want your order and they get mad when you tell them is wrong. Tried to be respectful and they were extremely rude. 1st and last time coming here. Sopes are also very tiny. And the tortilla is very hard to chew.

AMAZING! Oh man these tacos were delicious! Their sauces are to die for. They’re the right type of spicy for tacos and I like how all the toppings are on the side for you to put on your tacos. Great for picky eaters. Their staff is kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

The new hostess/cashier is friendly and very attentive to customers. However, the food is not the best – it lacks flavor and some seasoning. I ordered tacos al vapor, but they were very oily. On the positive side, I loved their agua de horchata, and the churros were okay too, but they need to change the cooking oil more often.
