Real AUTHENTIC Jamaican food!! You can’t go wrong ordering anything from here. It feels good to come from Jamaica and know when you order food it will taste like you made it at home. I love the patties, escovitch snapper, the callaloo, curry goat, oxtails…the list goes on!!! The food so doggone good that I forget to take photos EVERYTIME before indulging that should tell you it’s delicious!!! Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed my meal yet again and definitely appreciated Monet’s service. For the prices the portions are humongous. I couldn’t finish it all. Definitely happy and content little camper here.
I ran across this establishment quite accidentally. Out of a strip mall with almost everything closed down was this bustling little Jamaican restaurant offering me an unexpected chance for a taste of home. I was immediately pleased with the menu as it has been hard to find authentic Jamaican restaurant that have fried dumplings and of course that is immediately what I asked for. But let me backup, I was seated and placed my order and they brought this cornbread to my table that was the best I’ve had. Amazed me and then I ordered the Ackee and Saltfish with the afore mentioned fried dumplings. HEAVEN!!! While I sat and ate, a tear fell from my eye to watch a steady flow of my beautiful countrymen flow in and patronize this wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend and will be returning.

My bf and I came to the to-go location on a whim after seeing it while on 85 & I’m so happy we did.
The food is impeccable — some of the best Jamaican food I’ve had in my 30+ years and I’m willing to bet on that. I’ve had Jamaican food in NY, ATL, shoot Jamaica.. and none of it compares to what I just ate. After a 10 min ride home everything was still piping hot. We ordered brown stew chicken & bbq jerk chicken w/ rice & peas, cabbage and plantains on the side, cornbread and beef patties. Everything was moist, and fresh. The beef patties are homemade & have clearly never met a freezer a day in their life. The honey cornbread tastes like it was homemade in a skillet – my only “complaint”, don’t do orders of 3 bc we’re fighting over this last piece .
The owner needs a paragraph of her own. After we ordered she literally turned on the stove to prepare everything fresh. She chatted with us and gave us complimentary sodas and a macaroni sample. I’m not even a macaroni fan and that was the creamiest cheesiest Mac I’ve had in ages. This is so close to my house I’m worried about my wallet and my waistline bc I will for sure be a new regular!!

I love the fact they have a 12 dollar combo you can choose from. Jerk chicken has a sweet taste to it but punches some heat as well. Plantains are sweet and soft like I like. Rice and peas so good. That curry chicken patty with coco bread go hard. Overall great meal. Hard to find decent Caribbean food so I will definitely continue to order from them. Perfect for lunch when you are at work or even dinner if you don’t feel like cooking.

2nd Review So we were very impressed the first time we visited Tastee Spoon, we decided to check it out again as we visited Dunwoody on our way to Florida. Welp this visit was no where near our first experience and I must say I’m disappointed in the inconsistency. So we planned to dine in but there was a small crowd and the older lady, I guess she was the “employee of the month” basically argued us down as to why we couldn’t sit in the booths in the front oppose to sitting where the music was loud or crammed up on the wall behind other patriots. We didn’t see the problem when they let us sit there just 2 months ago with just about the same crowd. (The booths were completely empty). We were very close to changing our mind and just patronizing another facility but we really wanted to experience the food again and kudos to the younger employee who tried to accommodate us after the fact, she’s the reason we decided to just do take out instead of leaving altogether. The older lady fumbled the tip with all the extra. We just wanted to sit, eat and enjoy the atmosphere without being all up on everyone else. After about 20/25 mins I decided to check on our order and was informed that there was another Patriot that had the same name as I and my food may have been given to them. So the younger guy took our order again, apologized and gave a complimentary beef patty for the wait… which I thought was pretty nice. Nothing to trip about bc he had great customer service. We got back to the hotel like 5 mins away and began to eat our food my husband said that his curry goat was a little tough this time and my lamb chops were too spicy. All the sides and the corn bread were still as delicious and very tasty as we remembered from a couple of months ago. This experience didn’t completely ruin it for us but we may just give it a break and see what else may be tasty in the neighborhood.

Callaloo!!! This place is so good! I came hungry and was so happy. The staff is attentive. The food is on point. The atmosphere is relaxing while bringing the energy. And I’m pretty sure you can live off the cornbread. I could talk to Charmaine for hours. This food and place might be the secret to world peace! ☮️

This is some of the best Jamaican food we’ve had in Georgia! The meat is seasoned perfectly, the rice and peas are flavored, the bami and all the sides as well. The sweets are excellent.
The only thing is extra gravy should be an option when ordering for delivery apps. Outside of that, the product is no joke! Would recommend!

One of my friends knew I wanted some Brown Stewed Chicken, the Jamaican restaurant that I normally go to closed so when she suggested we go here, I was like okay not expecting anything but, the food was sooo good!!, Seasoned well and I was not disappointed! Our waitress was great as well! I will be back.
