I decided to give this place a try despite the bad reviews, but I was disappointed. Upon arrival, I was told there would be an extra fee if I paid with a debit card, which was already a negative first impression.
The food was mediocre at best. The shrimp looked unappetizing and tasted bad. I spent around $60 for myself and my son, and for that price I could have gone to a much better restaurant with higher-quality food.
I had previously visited the location in Katy before it closed, and that experience was much better. Unfortunately, this location did not meet expectations. The waitress was nice, but the food quality and pricing are not justifiable. I definitely won’t be coming back. Our stomach was hurting afterwards.

It was a lot of food. The fish had great flavor and came with a seafood mix on the plate as well. It came with a side of fried rice and toast. It’s very authentic mexican food. The staff was friendly. I will be coming back.

I’ve always wondered if the food was good here because I love Mexican Seafood, so I am very picky. This place did not disappoint, we came on a Friday evening and it was full when we got there but when we left it was starting to get full and the kareoke was going on full blast. There is plenty of seating here, there is an outside seating area as well as a full circle bar with seats. They have TVs everywhere to watch from all angles. We got sat down fast and out waitress came to take our drink orders quick. The drinks were good, my husband liked the Micheladas. We ordered our food and that also came out pretty fast. The food was delicious, everything was full of flavor and I tasted fresh. Only thing that wasn’t good were the chips, they were stale but that is my only complaint. Definitely coming back.

Here’s your honest review:
This restaurant overall was an alright experience. They play loud music which gives a great fun dining experience. Sometimes the music is TOO loud to where you can’t have a normal conversation. They have outside seating available if you do not enjoy the music. The music is also spanish DUH! The Waitress(s) are friendly. But they are also insanely LAZY. They don’t come around to serve you. They ignore you when you flag them down, so that really irritated me. What made it worse was that they automatically rip themselves 10% out of the paycheck. I make my own tip based on my experience. I understand that tipping is a very important part of a servers job but you have to earn it. The service I received should’ve been tipped a couple bucks because that’s what the deserved. They’re friendly like I said but they don’t do their jobs correctly. The food was good. I had fish and rice.
Although I enjoyed my food, I would’ve preferred going back to MAMBOS. A lot cheaper, tasty, and friendlier service. I will not be going back here ever.

The food here was great! I had the fried shrimp with chicken. It came with fried rice, fries, and a salad. Very fresh! My co-worker had the fried shrimp with fish. I’ll definitely come again.

This place is amazing!! The manager Salo was very professional and hospitable. The bartender jilberto ,servers,and staff were also super family oriented people. They made it comfortable to relax,enjoy music,and celebrate. Check this place out if you’re in the Spring Branch area!!
