Asado Toro Never Misses — Best Carne Asada in the Valley
I’ve been eating at Asado Toro on McDowell for many years, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite spots in Phoenix. The Carne Asada here is on another level — easily some of the best in the entire valley. If you come, do yourself a favor and try the Carne Asada burrito. It’s packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and consistently amazing every single time.
The location right by the State Fairgrounds makes it super convenient, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or making it a regular stop. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous, and the quality has never slipped in all the years I’ve been coming here.
Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great Mexican food. Asado Toro is a Phoenix gem.

Carne burrito is bomb! Burrito itself has nothing but meat inside. However, they give you all the fixings that you could use. Absolutely amazing flavor soft tender. It’s not A grade meat but it does!

Really great food. Staff are cleaning and make sure place is spotless. A little on the rougher side of neighborhood but v good service inside. Classic bean and cheese burrito really good with chipotle peppers. They also take Apple pay

I got delivery. It was fast and still hot. I ordered blano menudo and a language burro. Came with choice of tortillas …I got corn. And a wonderful assort.ent of condiments..cabbage, salsa, lemon, pico, onion, cilantro. Delicious!

Was refered by a friend. This place had excellent service. The ladies there were very nice. The food however was a very different story. We ordered tacos and a burrito. They came out plain. Just meat and tortillas. No side no salsa no pico no nothing. Had to go put stuff on it from an salsa bare that was completely picked through. The menu said one thing and we got something different.
I would recommend a kitchen staff change how have those nice ladies go somewhere that has good food to support better tips for them

Good service… Decided to come in to this restaurant because google reviews was at a 4.2. however when we came in and received the food. Food was okay, it was lacking flavor and salt. Food was decently priced if you’re okay to salt all your food. Fresh veggies to put into your order that’s a plus.

Absolutely loved this place. Quick, friendly service, reasonable prices, and fantastic food! They make their own flour tortillas in-house, and they are soooo fresh. I ordered tacos de cabeza and one lengua. The lengua was thick and chewy, great texture. A little salty though; would have preferred if they soaked it first to get rid of a bit of the salt. Cabeza was tender and falling apart, so delish. They have a nice little condiments bar too, where you can get salsa, avocado sauce, and radishes.
