This place was IHOP, and next door was Sweet Tomato, but both have been closed and vacant for more than 10 years. We were so happy that a new restaurant opened here, but some things need to be addressed. The floor is dirty with food, and there are several empty tables, but no staff to clean up, so we waited 10 minutes before a table was made available for us.

I was so excited to learn about the newly opened Penny Ann’s location in the Union Park area. I’ve been eating at the Taylorsville location for years and IMO it is one of the best American breakfast diners in Salt Lake County. This new location is also doing it right. It’s unpretentious and fairly priced. Portions are generous. The home fries are my favorite. The ingredients are clean and fresh. Everything is perfectly seasoned. The pancakes really are heavenly, but today I couldn’t eat gluten as I’m on a doctor-ordered elimination diet; which is one of the reasons we came to PAC—although the hotcakes and French toast are star performers, they have plenty of other wonderful dishes that are gluten-free. I got the Greek style omelette and very much enjoyed it. My husband got the Pot O’ Gold eggs benny, hash fusion and said his was amazing.

Went for breakfast on a clear beautiful Sunday morning. Waited about 20 minutes and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Ordered ham mushroom omellete and added tomatoes and the veggie skillet. Very happy and satisfied customers. Will definitely be back! Special shout out Thanks to our server, Kali!

Hands down my favorite diner! The hot cakes really are heavenly as they say! Nothing else like them. I was never a pancakes fan before. Get the pot of gold “half and half”. You get sausage gravy and chili verde! Come hungry, portions are HUGE

Incredible service, clean tables and establishment, tremendous breakfast! Wow! We will be back! We got the Small Breakfast, great bacon, perfect eggs, perfect county potatoes, amazing pancakes! They even brought us small containers for the syrup to go. Seriously best service!
