Delicious meal at the Powerhouse with my fiance and a friend, to the tune of cocktails, apps, dinner and dessert. The restaurant was staged beautifully and decorated for a between-the-holidays meal, and even though it was packed there was only a low undertone of voices from the surrounding tables. Our waiter was fantastic and gave honest, informed suggestions that showed great menu knowledge.

The cocktails were creative, well-balanced and refreshing; we tried the pomegranate cosmo, winter maple old fashioned, mistletoe mule, holiday margarita, and butterscotch espresso martini. The whipped ricotta and poached pear crostini really stood out and was an incredible way to begin the meal, but don’t sleep on the bacon wrapped scallops. I could have eaten a bowl of that sweet corn puree and even though it’s a party favorite, the smokey/sweet bacon/scallop combo was even more crisp/tender than most their kind.

For entrees, we rattled off some Chilean sea bass (w/ citrus beurre Blanc), linguine and clams, and spicy chicken pappardelle, finishing with a few lunges at their Classic House Made, original 1989 recipe, Peanut Butter Pie. Normally my fiance and I split our entrees; unfortunately, I couldn’t come up from the Sea Bass long enough to even offer her a bite. It was really a wonderful sauce, and a perfect amount to swirl around in the risotto. I was able to score the remainder of the clam linguine as leftovers, and even heated up in the microwave two days later it still qualified as a top three clam linguine dish I’ve ever had; buttery, lemony, garlicky goodness.

The food and cocktails were lovely! We sat at the bar since we were walk-ins and there were no reservations for the time we arrived. Bar is full service so we were able to get whatever we wanted from the full or featured menus. We had the octopus, fingerling potatoes & chorizo appetizer and I had the prime hanger steak. Both were flavorful and well cooked. The ginger bourbon smash cocktail was fabulous!

I can’t say that I liked the food in this restaurant. But everything was OK with an average restaurant in the middle of Pennsylvania. Nothing special, but acceptable. We ordered eggplant with cheese, salmon, veal. Everything was average. The wine was delicious. The service was excellent – friendly and very caring. The place is very interesting, historical. Old interior with history.

One of the best meals we ever had. Started with calamari as an appetizer. Lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned. Didn’t need to add lemon or use the side sauce. My husband gotbthe 8oz filet with jumbo lump crab. Melted in his mouth. I got the mushroom ravioli. Generous portion and very flavorful. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday so he got a complimentary dessert, so naturally I had to get one! The original peanut butter pie. So light and creamy. Will definitely return.

We had a fantastic experience at Powerhouse Eatery. I ordered the stuffed shells with meatballs—although it only came with one meatball, it was still delicious. The garlic bread served with it was equally tasty. My husband had the chicken parmigiana, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I also tried the rosemary blood orange crush—a strong drink that I probably would’ve enjoyed more if I were a bourbon fan (I hadn’t realized it was in the mix). The food and specialty drinks were beautifully presented, with incredible flavors. The bread served before dinner was good but unfortunately not warm, which was a bit disappointing. However, the black pepper butter it came with was a unique twist that was surprisingly tasty. Excellent service all around, with friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend!

A rare gem in this area! We are very picky and this place satisfied all our cravings. Went with a large group, including kids. Service was great, food was top notch and drinks were inspiring I had the bass special, and was not disappointed. Brushcheta app is a must try, large portion to share.
Beautifully decorated and was super crowded, popular.
Can’t wait to go again!

Service was terrible. We were served our appetizers before we got our drinks served. Food was served warm. For the price per meal I was expecting a lot more. I received better meals at all inclusive resorts. And to top it off. We ordered the valentine cupcake desert. Was informed after 5 minutes they were out. We went Friday before Valentine’s day. They probably didn’t have any of their specials left by Valentine’s day. I know they were somewhat busy, which I don’t understand because there is a lot of better quality restaurants in the area. I’ll never go back.

Excellent meal, excellent drinks, and excellent service. I highly recommend the honey-chili salmon; other tables seemed to be loving the lobster and pasta dishes. They have an extensive wine selection, and very good seasonal cocktails. Our waiter, Pasquale, was wonderful: great recommendations on both wine and food, checked in with us, and was very helpful in sorting out a bill error. We definitely be returning.
