The food was so overcooked the meat looked like jerky. Some of it was burned. I think they took yesterday’s unused food and recooked it for today’s food. The chips were overcooked and everything tastes like it was cooked in very dirty grease on a dirty grill. This place used to be great and we enjoyed it a lot. Now, we’ve noticed almost no cars in the parking lot and we know why. There were no people eating inside. The bar was empty. The food is unacceptable, overcooked, dirty and disgusting. I have a stomach ache now from it and I barely ate anything it was so bad. You’ve lost our business.

It was a nice place. I didn’t know the restaurant’s name until I saw the menu because there was no sign on the street with the name.
A young waiter did well with the five of us ordering. The only mishap was that my sopapillas were brought out as an appetizer instead of the dessert.
Two of us had the special Quesabirria tacos that weren’t on the menu. They were delicious!
Thank you for all the chips and salsa we ate while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive.
By the way, I was told about the lizard early in the evening, and then it showed up!

My girlfriend and I went to La Tapatias 16 Oct for dinner at approx 4:15
We have dined there several times over the last 2 yrs and we generally like it there. Today I ordered the Gringo Plate which is 2 crunchy tacos with ground beef filling, rice and beans. Food came out fast and looked good. However, the filling was way over salted. I couldnt finish the tacos. Rice and beans were good. My girlfriend verified it was over salted.

Love this place! Very authentic and delicious food. Been going there off and on for 24 years! They used to be located next to jack in the box.
They have great bartenders, specifically Shae, the other woman is great also. (I apologize I dont remember her name!)
It took one visit, for Shae to remember our order and drinks. She really helps make the experience here. On top of the food being delicious, all ready. My husband and I come here regularly now.
We get the shrimp salad with orange slices on the side. Yummy!
Thank you, and God bless!

Waiter did not bring what we ordered. Then insisted that was what we ordered. Told him we ordered mixed fajitas chicken & beef – NOT beef only. Asked him to bring us just a few chicken fajitas. He would check & come back. Finally rec’d. chicken (breast not cut up for fajitas). Rec’d.bill & he tacked on $9 for the chicken. Kept flagging him down – never saw manager. At check out – we told them we would pay for the mixed chicken & beef fajitas (showed them the menu) But, not for the additional charge. We were told the manager did not speak English-therefore, would not be any help. We had been regular customers for many years (eat in & take out). Beef fajitas were tough & chicken was dry.

Price increased? Was a regular and this was my last time ordering from here. What cost $8 two years ago and $11 a month ago now costs $14. If I wanted to spend $14 on a bean burrito I’d go to Juanita’s where they actually sell huge burritos deserving of that price. Used to be the best value for its price, now it’s just overpriced. Had they told me the cost over the phone I would’ve just cancelled.

The service was great! The food was meh at best. Since the menu states there are charges for substitutions I had hoped it would be better.

The guacamole was mostly mayo with avocado for color and a few bits of tomato. I tried adding a little salt and some cilantro but there was no fixing it. Chimichanga was okay; I’ve had way better but I’ve also had worse. The breakfast menu looked promising.

Not really even ok. Food is mediocre at best. Stopped in for menudo and honestly, might be the worst menudo Ive ever had. My bowl was almost entirely bone! And the chile was weak. Also, $10 for a bowl of bones!? Their breakfast tacos left much to be desired, save for the homemade tortillas. Service is attentive and the ambiance is great. But the food is meh. Also, health inspection sign says grade of B but a pen was used to add that a reinspection was an A. Seems suspect. Anyways, avoid. Theres better mexican food around.
