When I knew I was coming to San Diego I searched for the best pizza place in San Diego and Tribute came up. I was really intrigued when I saw they were ranked 34th in the country and immediately booked a reservation. Let me tell you, I was BLOWN away! My expectations were surpassed and I can see why the are ranked one of the best of the best! The service was great! Our server was patient, kind, happy to accommodate and answer any questions we had. The food was DELICIOUS, I mean INCREDIBLE! We started off with the focaccia bread with burrata cheese and balsamic. LOVED IT! The side of oven roasted vegetables were so fresh. Our waiter told us they get them from the local farmers market. Now, for the best part….the PIZZA! They have a variety of pizzas you can order in three different sizes: Neapolitan, grandma, or New York style. My mom and sister had a New York style with pepperoni, sausage, and hot honey. I got a cheese pizza and added mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted peppers on the Neapolitan style. (I appreciated how accommodating they were)The crust was light and crisp. The ingredients were fresh. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. If you come to San Diego you need to put this on your must list!

Great pizza in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. First off, the pizzas are excellent. Varied and well thought out. The drinks are excellent as well. They have a running theme of making tribute to well known pizzas and drinks. So they will have classics from all over the world, then reference where they are from on the menu. A pretty cool concept. Service was fast and friendly which is worth noting because the place was packed on a Sunday night. The food took quite a while though because it was so slammed. Now to why this is a 4/5 and not a 5/5. The waits are long, and you have to get a reservation if you don’t want to wait 2 hours outside. This is insane for a cool pizza joint. It’s pizza, elevated pizza, but still pizza. Not worth 2 hours of waiting or fighting for a reservation online. This isn’t the restaurant’s fault but still something to keep in mind. Worth it if you can just get in or a random reservation but not worth fighting through the crowds.

We’ve been to Tribute twice now—once a while back when we brought my mom along, and then just recently, just the two of us. We came back because we loved the vibe the first time, and it was just as great on our second visit.
The pizzas are delicious and each one is like a little homage to a unique flavor or style, which really suits the name “Tribute.” They’re known for their cocktails, although we ended up ordering wine both times—so we’ll have to try the cocktails next time!
A funny little detail: before we arrived, we got a bunch of confirmation messages that felt a bit like I had a dentist appointment—pretty formal stuff! But once we got there, the warm hospitality, especially from our server Brice, made us feel totally at home. He even surprised us with a complimentary dessert.
Overall, it’s a place we’d definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

Great place to get pizza. The service was really attentive and informative about their menu and lactose free options, we really appreciated it. The focassia bread is so good. The toppings on the lady diavola were great just that the bottom of the pizza could’ve been more crisp in my opinion. The crust was good just that the bottom was more floppy then I’m used to. I would come back and give their other pizzas another chance though.

Tribute Pizza was recommended by a friend so we decided to try it. Best pizza experience we have had in 25 years. Dirty Danzin was Pizza Perfect. Everything fresh. Garlic & cheese focaccia romana starter was fantastic. My wife said the silverton chop salad was one of the best salads she’s had at a restaurant. But that was after drinking the Sangria, which she said was delicious (turns out it’s “home made”, and can very day to day). The restaurant was packed so make sure to reserve a table. Free Parking is not easy to find in the neighborhood but we found public paid parking half a block from Tribute Pizza.

Have been here once before but Kevin was an absolutely kickass server and completely made our entire dinner! The food was already incredible and delicious, but he really just made it an 11/10 experience 🙂 he was so kind and gave us a beautiful (and really freakin yummy) soft serve for dessert. One of the best servers out there!

This was an unforgettable experience. Amazing food combined with cozy vibes. We ordered the mushroom pizza with prosciutto, and arugula on top. Our server even brought us some ghost pepper ranch and pepper flakes. Honestly, the pizza was incredible and you definitely have to try it. This has become my favorite pizza spot in San Diego.

Fantastic first experience at Tribute Pizza! Despite the usual 30–45 minute wait, it was totally worth it. Nelly (bartender) and Bryce (server) were incredibly attentive and friendly, and Katy at the host stand even remembered my name when I returned. I ordered the Dirty Dancing Pizza. Delicious!! Nelly topped off the night with a complimentary ice cream to welcome me – such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend!

Various styles of pizza based on various pizzerias around the US. All done well. Get a reservation or wait an hour. Worth it. The service was on point.

Be prepared to spend a pretty penny here but it’s so worth it!
I immediately recommend booking a reservation since it’s always so busy otherwise you’re looking at a long wait time. They do have a few standing tables if you’re lucky enough to snag one you can stand and eat there.
Came here for a birthday dinner with a reservation. For cocktails we had the Mai Tai (absolutely recommend), Sam Fleming, Paper Plane, a marg, and some special that had beet juice in it. For food we had the brussel sprouts and for pizzas we had a special with fresh ricotta and squash, pepperoni lovers, and the dye another day, and the soft serve.
The brussel sprouts were ok I probably wouldn’t order again they felt too charred and small so there was a lot of the over crispy paper texture to them but the flavoring was good. All the pizzas were absolutely phenomenal. Please note you do have to pay for any dipping sauces like ranch.
Our server was very knowledgeable in the menu and was helpful with drink selections that were delicious. Although this is pricier than most pizza places everything we tasted was fresh, prepared well, and the menu was intentional with specials around seasonal produce and availability which I liked. The restaurant itself isn’t very big so I’d recommend coming with a smaller group or 2 people so you can try different items.
Overall a great experience I’ll definitely be back!
