I like this location as it isn’t as loud or big as the Spring location. The salsa/chips and food was very good this night. My wife and I had the Chicken Fajita Poblanos for 2. The fajitas came out quick and hot. The chicken was tender and juicy. Everything about the food was great. Servers were friendly. We had to wait for water to be filled for a bit, but overall it was great. The portions were large with plenty to take home for another meal.

The food was so good, and the portions were amazing. I ate my jalapeno chicken and my jalapeno chicken and shrimp balls for 3 days I was not going to let any of it go to waste. I love the charro beans so much js like my mexican grandmother used to make them. Their food is amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for having us, and the service was outstanding all thanks to our waiter and the cook for serving some flavorful and juicy food

Please “Los Cucos”, take this as a friendly criticism. Mixed feelings with this restaurant. Service and Atmosphere is great, but as far as quality of food: one of the WORSE Mexican restaurants I have been in my life – probably the worst. This is very disappointing. We just moved to Woodforest, and we were so excited to go to that little plaza, with great atmosphere where the kids can play outside, etc. The server was amazing and super friendly, but we were in shock of the quality of food. We have been there twice (hoping that the first time the restaurant was just having a bad day), but no – both times the food was awful. The only good thing is the salsas and probably the drinks. But the queso was awful and felt like soup – like queso mixed with 50% water – awful taste too. The chicken tasted like a fast food – dry and bad taste. The meat had a little better taste, but still below average with A LOT of fat. So PLEASE “Los CUCOS”, don’t take this as an angry customer just being mean etc. But please do something about it since we LOVE the place, we LOVE the environment, and we would LOVE to come back if you would only serve decent food. But for now, we will avoid coming back at all cost, and we will just go to any other restaurant around you in that same plaza. Thank you for reading this.

Happy hour specials 2-6 were good deal with good margarita and food prices. Service in bar area was decent with fast food delivery. The queso was good but not real hot so got cold quick. Quesadilla and street tacos on happy hour menu were enough for meal and tasty.

Service is equally important as food cost/quality.

Our Service was very intermittent. Just when I thought we had a good waiter, he also became the bartender, only to not return . They had plenty of staff trying to look busy, but we’re not.

The FOH girl needs to learn how to seat people. The resturant was not busy , but sat us by the kitchen. Lots of traffic and noisy. There where plenty of open seats. Not professional. I understand when busy, but they were not.

Food quality is outstanding. Totally worth the expense.

Just really need to work on training staff. And they would be a 5 star all day long.

Los Cucos is a definite must visit Mexican restaurant in the Woodlands! The overall experience there was fantastic! The service was excellent, the food was delicious (and not greasy) and the dining area was well maintained, clean, and busy.
We came here with recommendations from
friends. Yes, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area but we were informed that Los Cucos had excellent food for very friendly prices. I concluded that their recommendation was good.
We were greeted and seated rather quickly, even though the dining area was busy. *From the outside, the restaurant doesn’t look that big but once you get inside, there’s a pretty generous dining area. Soon after being seated, we were immediately greeted by our waiter who brought us drinks, chips and their fantastic salsas.
The menu has quite a selection of items to choose from. It is very user-friendly, in the sense that there are photos for each of the foods listed on the menu. I have friends and family members that really appreciate a visual reference for each of the foods.
After we ordered our food, it came out relatively quickly and were perfect portions! All of the food was fresh, handmade and most importantly not greasy. I’ve been to too many restaurants where you are left with a pool of grease but the food here was prepared in authentic Mexican style and was absolutely satisfactory! The spices and sauces tasted authentic and not too much salt, making the meal really enjoyable.
The staff here is wonderful and attentive! They really do excel in service which makes a big difference when you’re paying for a meal out. They were professional and courteous! In addition for the adventurous, Los Cucos also has Karaoke on Tuesday nights.
I give lost Cucos two very big thumbs up! They work hard to provide a great dining experience which includes great service, excellent food and a wonderful ambiance! I definitely recommend Los Cucos for a Mexican meal out!

The food portion at Los Cucos is HUGE! And the margaritas worked. 😉
I was hesitant coming to this restaurant because it was IN The Woodlands but it turned out great. If it wasn’t for a co-worker talking about it, I would never have considered coming to a Mexican restaurant out there.
Family friendly and lots of parking.

Why so serious
The service was great. The food was mediocre. The red salsa and chips weren’t fresh. The guacamole was awesome. Our waitress was really good and attentive.
