We liked the sushi! Hibachi was decent. Salmon had good flavor and the steak was tender. Fried rice was not our favorite.

Visiting from England, we were taken to this place and it delivered beyond what we were expecting. Staff were all welcoming, friendly and very helpful (firt time we had dined Japanese). The food was stunning – we had red snapper, a food we are familiar with, and this was up there with the best. Sitting around a cooking station we watched our food being prepared and the guy cooking was so entertaining – BRILLIANT. Per person the cost was around 27 dollars, including drinks, and this was an experience not just a meal out – SUPER VALUE.

This is unfortunate to say considering this is one of my favorite sushi spots due to its convenient location and good food. While my bf and I were dining in, a bug scurried out of my bf’s sushi entree and went on the table, which we promptly killed. We ordered drinks and appetizers which were perfect as always, but we were so surprised to see a bug literally come out (or come from behind) the shrimp tempura roll. Since the bug touched his food, we were thinking about maybe just getting his sushi redone and continue eating, but as time went on we just felt that perhaps it would be best to leave. None of us ate our entrees, and when we told the waitress what happened, and she actually didn’t seem surprised or apologetic. She asked if we wanted new sushi, and we just asked if we can pay for our apps/drinks and leave, which she agreed with. It wasn’t a hassle to have our untouched sushi comped, but I supposed we wished that there was some sort of apology or an urgent need to fix the issue, because the lack of emotion seemed a bit weird and made us feel that we made the right decision to not eat there because it may have been a quiet persisting problem.
To give credit, we have eaten here a few times and the service is always pretty mid, so im not particularly surprised, but when it comes to a bug I thought it would be different. I also thought it was weird that the waitress that did serve us kept seeing our untouched plates and seemed like she was going to ask how it was going and never did, so we eventually had to get a different servers attention.
All in all, I’m sad to write this review, the food is good and I really do love their oyako don, but i probably won’t be back just for my own peace of mind.

In an out in less than 40 minutes! Came here for a Monday dinner around 8:30pm and had the garden salad, miso soup, some sushi rolls and skewers. Everything was out hot and fast! Was so delicious the photos don’t capture how tasty it all was. Highly recommend this place for dinner.

The service ruins this restaurant. The food is delicious, but if you eat in the regular restaurant (not the teppenyaki tables), the service is not good. They rush you so much I barely took my last bite of dinner and the check was thrown on the table. Literally thrown.
The food is thrown at you and wisked away before you’re done and good luck having someone come check to make sure came out right or see if you need an extra napkin or something to drink.
We really like the food here, but the service makes it impossible to enjoy this restaurant. We keep thinking maybe it was a bad night and it’s the same every time. We’re done being treated rudely, which is a shame, because the food IS good.

FYI – You have to sit at bar for happy hour. Overall food and service was good. Just didn’t like, when I went it was empty. And they couldn’t accommodate the happy hour where I was sitting

I ordered take out on a Friday afternoon at 12. I got the 3 roll special which was about 16 dollars and change. I picked up at 12:15 and it was ready and waiting. I got tow spicy tuna rolls and 1 spicy crab roll with a side of spicy mayo. It was very good. I will definitely order from here again.

Pretty good food with nice decor. I love the river and bridge at the entrance. Chirash is reasonably good with fine sashimi. Dragon roll is good and fresh. The only thing maybe to improve is the seating is a little tight.
