I had a pancake, super crispy burnt bacon and toast. ( i order this everywhere for breakfast )
this is the best place away from home ( I live 3 hours away)
I will be coming back
my friends had the biscuit and gravy and chocolate chip pancake and if I wasn’t full, id order so much more.
this establishment has me questioning to move up here now. its soooooooo goood
My wife and I have frequented Papa’s in the past. My favorite menu items were the reuben and fresh REAL onion rings. We visited last Saturday and I was extremely disappointed when my server initially told me my reuben was out of stock. I changed my order, still looking forward to the onion rings. However, when they were delivered, I discovered they were all the same size, and were filled with a minced onion “goo” instead of actual rings of onion. When I asked if they’d changed the onion rings, the staff confirmed, and when I guessed it they used Sysco food service, they said yes.
I’m guessing my reuben was going to be some Sysco frozen abomination as well, so it’s just as well that it was out of stock.
Papa’s has decided to reduce quality to reduce cost, and I’m just not here for it. So many small businesses have caved to Sysco and serve the same slop as every other establishment, and apparently Papa’s Cafe is no exception. It’s a sad day .
