“I’ve known this place for 26 years and hadn’t been back in 18. It hasn’t changed a bit — even the same owner and staff are still here. The decor is simple, the service is friendly, and they only serve one thing: Cuban steak sandwiches. Still as delicious as ever! It makes me so happy to come back and enjoy the same great taste. I’ve been coming here since a CHILD and the consistency is UNREAL. The Steak Sandwich (with onions, cheese, and fries) and a Batido de Trigo is my go to.
Only specializing in Steak Sandwiches & Shakes, they have become a staple in Hudson County. The sandwich is flavorful and tender. The shakes are so refreshing.

Heard about this place online for their famous steak sandwich and decided to take the trip since it seemed relatively close to my neighborhood. Ended up taking a little longer than usual because its in a very population dense area with a lot of traffic and parking was brutal. I wouldn’t say it located in the worst area but it’s defiantly not a nice area, anyways on to the food. the restraint itself looks very old and beat up but who cares menu has 1 sandwich on it and it’s cash only. Id recommend any foodie to come try this place at least once because its a food journey but the traffic and parking and cash only are enough of a hassle to keep me away unless I’m directly in the neighborhood, also try to eat it there because the trip home will take too long.

Dos Amigos serves the best Cuban steak sandwich I’ve ever had. It’s a beloved spot for me since my mom visited regularly while pregnant with me, and the sandwich has only improved over the last 31 years. Every visit is a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The steak is perfectly cooked, the sandwich is delightfully crunchy, and their delicious French fries and unique mango batidos are simply unmatched. The owner and the wonderful staff working there have been serving our community for over 20 years, and it’s heartwarming to see them continue their legacy. Treat yourself to this gem—it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Service is quick. Meat is not grilled like a normal Cuban style and it’s non crispy french fries on it verse chip Style. Based on other reviews i didn’t get what I expected. Fyi. They don’t have a grill so requesting your meat grilled isn’t an option and they serve it the way they do not how the customer wants it and the customer isn’t right says the owner. And he isn’t cuban.

Cheap quality and terrible. Looking for a heart attack? Want a high priced steak sandwich drenched in oily soggy fries in a sandwich? Then this may be the right place for you to eat. I haven’t eaten here in about ten years. I went Saturday and picked up three sandwiches and paid a total of $24.30 cash. The owner doesn’t accept cash and I am assuming is to avoid paying taxes. The sandwich has nothing in it but oil drenched fries. No lettuce or tomatoes. The steak is poor quality with much skin. I don’t recommend this. They offer milkshakes and there is plenty of parking if you eat in. If you Want a good steak sandwich, go to Centro Latino on 63rd street and Bergenline Ave. for sure never going back to dos amigos.

Had husband stop and pick up food. We both asked for ground beef on our enchiladas. Was pretty disappointed to find they contained shredded beef. All 4 enchiladas.

This spot is absolutely AMAZING. There is only one option. The steak sandwich. And damn it’s good. Get the large steak sandwich with cheese and onion. You will not regret it. Each table has a bottle of ketchup and hot sauce that you can add on yourself. Keep in mind this place is cash only and as of the date of this review, it costs $11.50 for a large sandwich.
