Dined in today and was a great experience. Ava was our server and she was awesome. Very personable and made sure we had everything that we needed. The chips and salsa are always great here! Today I had the fish po-boy, seafood gumbo and potato salad. Food was very good especially the fried fish. I have had their red beans and rice with sausage in the past and it is very tasty as well! The vibe and decor here is great especially for Lufkin.

I came for the shrimp and grits, I was not disappointed. I ended up getting blackened fish and shrimp, and a side of grits. Food was seasoned perfectly and the grits were thick and a little spicy (from all the pepper jack cheese). I sat in the open air dining section and worked on my laptop. They have outlets within reach and it was very peaceful. I would return and recommend to a friend! Minus half a star because, they do not accept tap to pay and one of my 3 fish pieces was really small.

Hit or miss. You just never know if it will be good or bad. Ordered the Greek salad and it was mostly celery. Talked to Mgr. Aked for lettuce or something and he said, that is how we make the Greek salad and I will have to charge you more. Not great customer service either. Mgr not really concerned that we were unhappy.

They had plenty of room for a large party. Food was good, drinks on point, and stuff to entertain the kids.

We love Tia’s and have been there often, but I want to give a shout out to our server last night, I believe her name is Laney. She had a huge section on the floor and I watched her get double sat at least once. She was still extremely attentive and on top of her work. We never had to ask for anything and she refilled drinks quickly. Our food came out perfectly and she was very friendly and didn’t act rushed even when our 4 year-old stopped her to talk a few times. No wonder her shirt says “trainer” I hope we get her as a server next visit!

We eat at Tia Juanita’s regularly, and Christian made this visit stand out. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience from start to finish. Drinks stayed full, food came out exactly right, and she checked in at just the right times without hovering. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. If you’re dining here, ask for Christian. She made a great meal even better.

First time eating out at this nice little place in Lufkin and all I can say is just wow. Now don’t get me wrong the food here was excellent, but about half way through our experience a young lady in red, a server if I may, walked up to two gentleman who i assume were the managers standing a couple feet from our table and started discussing another person in a very particularly rude manner. I don’t want to call this person out of character but as far as I’m concerned I will not be returning to a restaurant where my family and children are subjected to hear these types of conversations or comments and whose staff demean and batter its team members. On another more positive note, our server was amazing I can’t remember her name but kudos to her for being outstanding and going beyond for our table.

This has to be the best restaurant on the planet. Our waitress Savanna, despite the fact I think she was the true goddess of thunder, was AWESOME! Very attentive and super nice.
The food is absolutely amazing. Really doesn’t matter what you get. The beef fajitas were very likely the most tender and flavorful I’ve ever had. Their gumbo is 2nd to none! It was a wonderful time here despite the massive thunder storm outside.

We are regulars at Tia Juanita’s and we always ask for Christian. No exceptions, I’ll wait longer just to sit with her. She’s not just an amazing server, she’s genuinely become a friend to us. From the moment we sit down, she makes us feel welcome, remembered, and taken care of. She’s fast, attentive, funny, and somehow keeps everything running smoothly even when the place is slammed. The food is great, but Christian is the reason we keep coming back. If she’s your server, you’re lucky.
