Stopped into Hannah’s BBQ in Lenoir while passing through and needing a quick bite before heading back to Charlotte. I ordered the pulled pork platter with fries, mac & cheese, and hushpuppies.

The pulled pork was tasty.. not life-changing, but definitely solid. The mac & cheese was mid but generously cheesy, and the fries were exactly what you’d expect: simple and edible. The hushpuppies were the standout for me – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and easily the best part of the meal.

Overall, it was a good lunch break from the usual chain drive-thrus. Is it the best BBQ in the state? Probably not for me, but if you’re in the area, it’s absolutely worth the stop.

Hannah’s BBQ in Lenoir has the best BBQ. I have been trying to eat healthier lately, so I get a vegetable plate, which is $7!! On this plate, I get a baked sweet potato (really good, they give you butter and cinnamon and brown sugar on the side), baked beans (the beans do have a little BBQ in them), and their delicious crinkle cut French fries. (I know these are not good for healthy eating, but I just have these maybe once a month.). They have other sides such as corn on the cob and baked potatoes. Their bbq is good, and their sweet mild sauce is really good. The sweet tea is terrific!! I usually don’t get dessert because I’m so full from the vegetable plate, but they do have good desserts. Their lemonade is absolutely wonderful! This is where all the locals eat, so if you are passing through, stop at Hannah’s. They are open Tuesday through Saturday.

I was actually really surprised with Hannah’s! Lenoir isn’t exactly known for BBQ, but Hannah’s makes sure you have some delicious food. I had the Buffalo chicken carolina salad and it was awesome. Loaded with juicy, flavorful chicken and the salad was amazing. Dad had ribs and they give you a GENEROUS portion! They were so tasty and falling off the bone. The ribs don’t look like much from the photo but don’t judge it because the taste is awesome! Will definitely be back and highly recommend them!

This is exactly what a BBQ stand should be! The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Our 2yo daughter dropped a toy under the booth and the waitress brought out a broom to help dig it out and was laughing with us over it. Down home at it’s finest.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now! I’ve had many many bbq places and this one didn’t disappoint! Excellent food and excellent sauces. They even had apple sauce for our 6 month old! The people there were super nice and the food came out really quick! We will be back to try more of what they have to offer!

Visited 10.22.25 with Dad for a late lunch. Small local BBQ joint. Dad had pulled pork sammich & onion rings. I had sliced beef sammich & potato salad. All was very good & good value. Service was great! Previous visit I had country style ribs which were excellent. Will visit again!

I enjoy finding local gems to support. It’s too bad this one didn’t pan out. The overall food experience just fell short.

I ordered some common staples that I thought would be solid: pulled pork, BBQ chicken and BBQ ribs. The pulled pork was mushy. The BBQ chicken was swimming in sauce. I got the dregs of the rack for BBQ ribs, barely any meat and not even half a rack.

Baked beans, vinegar slaw and hush puppies were decent sides. Corn on the cob was mushy and tasteless. Brunswick stew was probably the tastiest thing I ate.

After spending $40 for dinner, I don’t feel I got my monies worth. I’d like to give the benefit of the doubt and say it was an off night. If I go back, it’ll be for lunch to test things out.

Good BBQ, friendly staff. The Brunswick stew was more like a soup (watery), and the sauces in the bottles were very watery. The restroom is around the outside of the building. They were out of banana pudding, said they didn’t get their supply of fresh bananas for that day. Enjoyed the pulled pork BBQ and Mac-n-cheese the most!

I had the large chopped BBQ with potato salad and onion rings. For sauce I ordered their spicy vinegar. Everything was good. Take note that the term BBQ means something different to everyone. This dish is definitely a regional specialty and I would recommend it to my friends. I ordered via their drive through. The service was fast and friendly.
