I love Rudy’s! This location was superb and was glad to try it! The brisket was so delicious and so was the creamed corn. The restaurant was very clean. Great spot for BBQ in Del Rio!

Okay I must admit we ate elsewhere but walked here from the Hampton next door as it was too compelling to miss…a gas station, drive thru, live music, ice cream, restaurant and a beer selection. Friendly people. Uber clean! Great vibe.

We used the drive thru. My first time there so I didnt know the menu. The employee was patient while I decided what to get. Food was decent. I got pulled pork & it was a “wet” style (like having cooked it at home in a crockpot) so that was good- I didnt need any BBQ sauce. I also had their coleslaw and new potstoes… also fine. Definitely ask for sides of pickles & onions to go, if you plan to fancy up your sandwich, otherwise, we’ll, it’s just meat. Yes i’d eat there again. Yes i’d recommend.

We had the pulled pork sandwiches. They were served on a toasted bun with lots of meat – larger than average. Coleslaw was the vinegar type, good and served in a small bowl. Order at the counter with table type seating. Two different kinds of bbq sauce. Service was quick and made to order. Overall a good value.

Outdtanding BBQ! Neither the pulled pork nor the pork loin was greasy as BBQ often is. Dominic was extremely helpful and informative (and a little twinkle-in-the-eye mischievous). Seating is bench-and-table social, which I’ve loved since my childhood pizza joint hangout in my home town in the ’60s. We wil most certainly return when we visit Del Rio again!

So first off – This place is amazing. Second – it’s affordable! This was our first time so we got a customized shpeal, along with samples of meat (and the green chili soup).
I got a loaded baked potato, which is so giant my son ate part of it and we still had a full meal the next day on the left overs. Pretty intensely large potato.
In the restaurant, my son has the pulled pork sandwich. Delicious. I really liked the original bbq sauce but my son preferred the sweeter (less spicy) sauce.
All of this good BBQ while getting gas for your car at the same time. Loved the environment. It’s family style seating and the vibe is just laid back and fun. This whole thing was an experience. 5 stars! I definitely recommend

Guys, this is getting ridiculous. Ruby’s has become the main reason I look forward to coming to Del Rio. Food that is ridiculously yummy. The lean brisket… OMG!

Stopped by around 4 in the afternoon. They didn’t have any moist brisket so my parents ordered the lean. It was dry and tough. The chicken was okay as well as the beans. Potato salad wasn’t very good either. Probably won’t be coming back again. Service was good as well as the atmosphere.

We had a fantastic meal plated in short order with help from Ruben Flores. He walked us through the menu and the ordering process (all meats are by the pound pricing so you can order as little or much as you like) and had suggestions along the way as well. The baby back ribs were absolutely amazing, and the brisket and pulled pork were excellent. The pinto beans had a fantastic flavor. If you are in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this place for lunch or dinner!
