Sometimes you will be happy, and sometimes you won’t

Lee’s in Lawrenceburg, Ky, is what I call a touch-and-go restaurant. Sometimes you will get awesome, extra-crispy, spicy chicken, and other times you won’t. They seem to run out of spicy chicken and want to substitute. Some associates will ask you if you want to substitute, and others will add bland chicken to your order. If it is not spicy, I do not want it. They must also have different cooks, because I will get chicken where the breading close to the chicken is not done, or chicken that is too done or dried out. Sometimes the chicken is not spicy enough or too salty. I love their potato salad, but lately the potatoes are not done enough, and still too hard. The reason why we still go there is that they are close to us.

Great tasting food but the portion sizes have gotten significantly smaller while prices have increased. Used to get 4 big pieces of fish in their catfish dinner, now it’s 3 smaller pieces. Used to get a ton of potato wedges, now they give few. And the cups of sides used to be filled to the brim, but now… well, take a look for yourself. Absolutely ridiculous.

Even though the hours are posted close at nine, they locked the doors at 8:20 pm. Won’t use this drive thru, when we have it’s always missing food and we never get the sauce we pay for. Terrible.

We love our local Lee’s! We use them occasionally to cater luncheons and the crowd is always satisfied. Catering price is reasonable. Sweet tea, biscuits and pot pies are absolute faves! Staff is friendly and service is great!

The service was fast, the food was perfect, and the staff was friendly. 1st time we dined in, and 2nd time was drive thru.

We went through the drive-thru requested fresh food, potato wedges and chicken strips. Then they told us they were out of potato wedges It’s really hard to believe that they were out of potato wedges

Do not go here!! In town for business and wanted to try some “famous” Lee’s chicken. At first the customer service was terrible, the drive thru cashier was very rude and snapped at me about being out of Dr pepper, and then about what comes on a certain sandwich.
When I got to my hotel to eat the famous chicken sandwich and fries they had slathered the sandwich with the sauce basically dripping out of the wrapping. Then I seen they only gave me 4 or 5 fries. Like the bottom of the boat fries that were old and extremely salty. Both young girls working seemed to be preoccupied with something else but serving customers with respect and courtesy was not on their agenda. I will never eat this particular restaurant again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, however today someone really dropped the ball. While the chicken tenders are really plump and juicy, today they were petite and dry, I will continue to eat here since this is a very rare occasion, but many more experiences like this and I will stop going.

I don’t eat fast food very often and it’s been years since I have even been in a Lees Famous Recipe, this place was amazing. It was very clean and the food was fantastic. The cashier was very quick to bring my food out and very friendly.
