This has been a family favorite for a long time. One of the best places in Spokane for breakfast, lunch, or in between.
Two of my favorites are the chicken fried steak breakfast and the eggs benedict, but I have tried many other things and have never been disappointed.
Every employee has always been welcoming and friendly, even if they are really busy. And this place is very popular so busy is just their way of being.
Their prices are very reasonable, especially considering how much food you get.

This is a great place for families! Great food & huge portions. There’s huge windows facing an airfield, you get to see aircraft coming and going. We saw a dozen or more aircraft in our visit

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, I ate breakfast at the SkyWay Café. I went with my parents and my two children. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes until a table was available for us. During that time we thoroughly enjoyed watching planes take off.
Once seated we were greeted by our server. I never caught a name but she was petite, had dark hair, and had a couple of visible tattoos on her upper arms. She was incredibly nice, helpful, and attentive. I ordered the two large buttermilk pancakes as the menu definitely did them justice by calling them “large.” My parents and daughter ordered other traditional breakfast fare and it all looked delicious. I ordered my son (3 years old) the French fries off the kids menu and they were the double fried kind that are irresistible.
The SkyWay Café is your classic, retro breakfast diner with an added bonus of airplane photos, models, and memorabilia all over the restaurant. It was a very historic and entertaining place to eat. We can’t wait to return.

The food was great. Service was good. For the volume and table count, it could have used an extra server. Potions were so big we all took a Togo box.

This is definitely a Spokane must go spot! So much here to love that it’s hard to boil it down to a short review. Suffice it to say that in all our experiences here, we’ve never been disappointed. Coffee is always fresh and staff is super friendly. Sticky buns and biscuits are house made. Sticky buns are hard to get right, often they’re too sweet, too chewy, too dry, or otherwise deficient. The sticky buns here are as close to perfect as they get. Biscuits are fabulous, too. Not your traditional buttermilk biscuits more like a cornbread texture, truly unique especially when served with their house made strawberry jam! Yum.
Spinach bacon omelette and meat lovers scramble were the entrees. Both were more food than we could handle in one sitting. Great flavor combinations and reasonably priced, too!

Love coming here. Been visiting for decades, with my own young children, and now grandchildren. It’s consistently good diner food, and their ‘half portions’ for some menu items are more than enough for a normal appetite. Servers and griddle chefs are top tier for our metro area…

Wow! I loved this place! The airport runway is right next to the tables. I was able to watch the shall planes take off and land! I enjoyed the breakfast food. I couldn’t stop looking at all the photos and props hanging in the diner. If you are ever near Spokane Valley, before 1400 hours, you must stop here for some great food and fun.

I went here for lunch with a friend and it was great. Portions were great, flavor was great, and prices weren’t too expensive. The cafe had really cool historic aviation decorations, as it’s right next to Felts Field. I’d recommend going here.
