My first time trying this. On a 1-10 scale I’d put it at a 7. Overall the food was good. I’d definitely say to give it a try to see if this is your type of Mexican food. I’m Mexican/Cuban myself so I can be picky. Anyways the tortillas are store bought. Rice has little flavor and a bit under cooked. Beans were ehh, could be better I’d question if their homemade. I ordered chicken tacos. I prefer white meat but this was majority dark. I did alot of picking looking for chunks of white meat with little luck. This is just my preference so I can’t really judge them on this. If you like dark meat then this may be for you. Chicken does have flavor on its own and didn’t need a bunch of sauce to add the flavor for you so thats a big plus.

OK, THIS is one of my favorite places for fast Mexican (hope I am right) food. Beats Taco Bell and the burrito place on Charles St. The Steak burrito, with extra onions, cup of corn, light on the pepper and a large icy cold fruit punch. It cost more than Taco Bell, but worth every cent and honestly the burrito is so big that I get 3 meals out of it, Dont forget, Steak burrito is the crown jewel for me.

There’s no way this place is rated 4 1/2 stars. I got their burrito dinner, a churro, barbacoa taco and a pork tamale just to try their items since I’m new to Rockford and I originally am from Chicago. The burrito meat is bland and fatty. Beans need seasoning and are thinned out with flour. Their rice is bland, churros kinda smelled funky, the tamale are the worst I’ve seen, almost like a tamale from a hotdog spot. And the best part? Spent 35$ on what I thought would be a good spot. Sorry as a Mexican, I cannot approve the place. Unless I try it again and it’s made differently I wouldn’t recommend.

In my opinion the best quick Mexican food joint in the area. I haven’t had anything bad here and it’s a regular lunch and dinner destination quite often.

For 2 plates it was $30 with hard flavorless rice, and was filled with only meat and cheese. There was no lettuce, onions, cilantro or anything else on the chimichanga or torta and for plates they gave the smallest cup of salsa which sadly wasn’t enough to cover the bland food. The first i went there it was really good and the last 3 times its disappointed both my wife and I, so much so I had to comment this time.

Solid place for a nice quick and easy Mexican dish. Plenty of options. They do have bowl and other low carb options. Alcohol is available in the bottle with a limited selection.

Pretty good food. Very large burritos. Kind of too expensive for the quality. Two taco dinners (three tacos, some beans and rice with about 10 tortilla chips)and two half liter Mexican cokes will run you close to $40
