Set ’em Up Jack’s is a locally owned sports bar and grill. We have twenty eight small TVs, seven small projectors and a 22ft HD big screen! We have daily food and drink specials. Our menu starts with appetizers such as chips and salsa, fried pickles and onion straws. We have 12 different styles to choose from for burgers, veggie burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. Our burger baskets on Mondays are $5 off. Tuesdays we have tacos and enchiladas on special. Thursdays our country fried chicken and chicken fried steak is on special. Set ’em Up Jack’s is a favorite among both KU college students and Lawrence Kansas residents. We are located on east 23rd street in Lawrence Ks, just north of Prairie Park.

Nice sports bar.
Love the humor in the bathroom!
Large selection of drinks on tap, as well as a tasty margarita.
Chicken fried chicken was decent, the mashed potatoes were real and good. Lots of gravy for sure.
The fat bottom burger was delicious. Spicy and flavorful. Lots of choices as far as how you want your burger done too. The fries are also seasoned well.
Deconstructed nachos have an entirely new scene for me. I’ve never had it where all of the nacho goodness was in a bowl and the chips were on the side, that way your chips don’t get soggy and you can get as much or as little of the toppings as you want! What a clever idea.
Had a wonderful server that was full of life and joy.

I took my adult kids and myself to Set Em Up Jack’s on Valentine’s Day. Absolutely loved it. Food was great. My kids got different types of burgers with different Jack Special Styles and fries. I got the country fried chicken with smashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Very delicious. The hostesses were very nice and we were seated immediately. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She checked on us numerous times and got my youngest daughter a drink refill and kept making checking ro see if the rest ofus needed any refills. A person, whom I can only guess was the manager, even came by our table to make sure everything was going well. I will definitely be going back. Absolutely will recommend Set Em Up Jack’s to anyone. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Was working in the area and needed a quick bite so we stopped in and sat at the bar. I had the traditional jack Big Blue Style , you get to order your burger or sandwich your way or choose a style which is neat. For an appetizer we chose the buffalo chicken dip and it was really good. I make this too with actually pulled chicken and not canned. So glad it was served the way I do with tortilla chips. Bailey was our bartender and she was on it ! Thanks for an awesome experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for non traditional bar foods.

I had the catfish special today for lunch. The fish was absolutely perfectly prepared. Hot and NOT greasy. I ordered two pieces as I expected the filled to be a small portion. To my surprise each was 7 to 8 inches long.

I love this place. They serve really excellent food for a decent price. The specials are always good. They have really good burgers as well. Some of my favorite meals from here are the open face roast beef, the CFS, the smoked Carolina gold chicken sandwich. The servers are all very nice and take care of the guests extremely well.

Food is typical bar fare, good selection, competitive pricing. We had a tenderloin and french dip, with french fries and cheese curds. The french dip could have used a bit more meat to balance the bread, but overall everything was tasty. All the items came hot and freshly prepared. Lots of TVs for those into sports. The outside looks rather boring, but the inside is a nice sports bar vibe.
Honestly, the biggest con was the server in the bathroom that didnt wash her hands after. Thankfully she was not our server or I probably would have left without eating.

The staff are absolutely amazing! The food is excellent and reasonably priced and they have about 15 BIG SCREEN T.V.’s!! Yesterday was a very good time watching K.U. win!

Typically would give a 5 Star review, however, today was hard to even give it a 1. Went there specifically for the chicken fried chicken special; ended up with a RAW chicken fried chicken special. The amazing server grabbed the manager, who only offered a free dessert (not one of my choice) and never offered even a replacement meal. Hopefully this was just a bad day, but highly disappointed showing my team a local favorite and having this be the experience.
