Stopped by Mary & Tito’s while visiting Albuquerque for work. I was looking for something that was real, authentic and that locals actually love and I was not disappointed. Mary & Tito’s is a landmark of the city and we had to give it a try.

The space was no frills but warm and inviting. It had the homegrown atmosphere that we were looking for.

The food was good. I had the stuffed sopapilla with rice and beans which was my first time trying it and it was pretty good. I also tried the chicaronnes, another first for me and definitely worth a try if you’re a meat lover.

I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu. It was great place to stop by for lunch and a great first stop during our time in Albuquerque.

A hole in a wall that gives you authentic homemade Mexican food. We had a bowl of green chili, chimichangas, a large combination plate 1. Every was flavorful. The homemade salsa had a slight hint of spice that makes it delicious. Parking was limited in their lot but street parking is available. No alcohol on site. (We were craving margaritas) nonetheless we left very full and happy.

Service was great, the atmosphere was quaint, but the star of the show was the meals we had.
I had the “Mexican pizza” or what I’ve personally renamed an open-faced sopapilla, and my wife had the chicken enchiladas; we both went on each of our plates.
My flavors were delicious and the chicken enchiladas my wife had were excellent.
We did think the complimentary salsa with the chips was a little sweet in our opinion; otherwise we loved it – from the airport to here.
See you next time

Family ran since 1969 with a warm & friendly, homelike atmosphere. Popular hot spot with a low price point and filling portions. ”New Mexican grandmother’s cooking” that will make your mouth & soul smile. Must eat: Chile relleno, red chile sauce made with chile from local Bosque Farms. Carne Adovada- pork roast rubbed in chile, slowly braised until shredded tender & served with red chile. The Beans. The Sopapillas- not a heavy bread shell, instead a very thin layer stuffed with meat and covered in chile sauce of choice. I hear the green is excellent as well but they’re known for their special red chile. First bowl of chips and salsa is complimentary. The chips are fresh, thin & crisp and the salsa is flavorful with a touch of delicate heat that doesn’t burn the throat. The Mexican wedding cake sells out quickly as we missed out during our 1st visit. Looking forward to our next visit’s experience.

This place is iconic and 1000% honest New Mexico style cuisine. It is like the food that is shared on Sunday afternoon with chisme, cafe and cariño. Grandma singing in the kitchen and waitresses happy to be there serving newly arrived family. The enchiladas red and green were marvelous and bien sabrosas. My waitress’ Elizabeth and Tania were excellent and polite.
Note: I went earlier to another famous but bland known restaurant; this restaurant is truly good and tasty.

We drove from Maryland to Las Vegas, Nevada tryin various food spots along the way. We hit back this place on the way back home and it was phenomenal.

Food and service is top tier. Atmosphere is homey and has a great home town family feel. We were seated at a clean table immediately. The menu was easy to read and choose from. The server was happy to explain things and recommend things and the food came out extremely quick.

We let them know about our road trip and told them that their food was the best we have had yet and the staff and other patrons cheered and clapped for us as we departed it was soooo heartwarming and sweet. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

The unassuming building doesn’t match the food, which is top notch! The salsa and chips are complimentary and very good.
I ordered a large combination plate. A relleno with green, a ground beef taco and a blue corn cheese and onion rolled enchilada. The red was exceptional!
My wife had a stuffed sopaphilla which is more like a turnover, being fried after stuffed.
The prices were what I remember paying 5 years ago!
If you have friends coming into town visit here to be served the best and affordable New Mexican food!

Amazing service, food was delicious, and price was reasonable

I saw lots of recommendations from locals about this spot regarding the delicious food, so stopped by on the way through town and I am so glad that I did!

The service was top notch, bathroom was clean, and Carne Adovada was amazing

I had an absolutely fantastic meal! The food was amazing from start to finish. The chili was perfectly seasoned, rich, and flavorful—comfort food at its finest. The green chili, however, was the real standout—bold, vibrant, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Every bite was a delight. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I came here with my fiancé on a Saturday afternoon, the place was busy, we were seated right away. The bus boy came over and took our drink order, they then brought Salsa and Chips to our table (They were good) .. after that we sat there for quite some time, the staff kept walking past us, we both had our menus down and it was obvious that we were ready to order, after another 30 minutes, the bus boy came back over to see if we needed any refills, I told him that we have been sitting there for awhile and no one had took our order, he apologized and told us someone would be with us shortly, we waited another 10-15 minutes and finally a gentleman came over and took our order, we honestly felt like the staff was ignoring us, it ruined the experience for us, the food was good, but the poor customer service that we received really left a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be back.
