The food was great! Mousa introduced me and my friend a free small lentil soup when we arrived, it was delicious. We ordered chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma they were excellent and well-seasoned. The veggies were fresh too! I especially loved the crispiness of the falafel and fries (which we had on the house). It was truly wonderful and I’d love to come back again!

Because I have experience in restaurants, I can’t eat anywhere, I have to make sure of the cleanliness and quality of the food, then the service, and this is what attracted me to this restaurant, and I prefer Middle Eastern food because it is healthy and delicious. Two years ago I found this restaurant and became a regular customer, and everything was great, the food, the service, the cleanliness, and the open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared from start to finish, then the chef changed and the service became less quality, so I changed my rating. I tried several Middle Eastern restaurants in the area and they were not good, today I passed by Falafel Guys, I found the same old chef and I knew he was the owner of the restaurant, the food was delicious and fresh, the service was great, the reception is special, I am very happy that I found a place where I can be assured of cleanliness and quality,

We tried the hummus, falafels, lentil soup, and mixed grilled meats. Everything was spectacular! You could see them making everything fresh in the back. The service was wonderful as well- extremely kind owner and workers. I will 100% come back!

I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough! The grilled branzino over rice was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The fries were crunchy and salty and everything you want in a good fry. The owner, Mousa, was so kind and welcoming and made our experience so much more enjoyable. Highly highly suggest stopping by! My friend and I visited from our of town but we would come back here just for this meal!

Couldn’t take a picture I ate the food so fast haha! Food was great. Got a free soda and a free little cup of lentil soup. Guy working was very nice and asked if I needed anything. Definitely come here for a great cheap meal!!

We had a very positive experience. We ordered the babaganoush, falafel platter, and lentil soup. The lentil soup, served with crispy chips and a spicy red sauce, was particularly outstanding. We highly recommend trying these dishes; they are both delicious and substantial. We also appreciated the complimentary lentil soup provided at the beginning of our meal.

Iv’e been meaning to review this for quite some time. This place is usually on par. So far the best falafels I had in New Jersey coming from someone who ate in journal square, Jersey City, and touched some of North Jersey. Don’t worry, I reject most of New York falafel scene. Just not hitting.
This was delicious. The owner never thinks I order here and we just share a laugh. Pricing is excellent. Journal Square needs to get some lessons from this place. The falafel was cooked with care and craft. Fish fried well. Never had their chicken. Eventually, I will get there. The menu has so many options. $40 will leave with with two full bellies..
Today this was needed. (Dealing with my aprtment issues yeah. The Essex as usual yesterday… a flood in the laundry/utility area then needing to go to my job having to carry my gear back and forth for the next couple of days) along with trying to prepare for a large change next week.
The genuine, wanting to give the best experience was heartwarming. I asked for the rice to be switched with fries. I was given a sample of fries and had the rice. The rice was great. The fries was also amazing. Was even given a cookie. They always give you a great value of food here and look to treat you like family at a Sunday dinner.
This takeout literally helped relaxed the needing to go home angst feeling I had. In the world of reputation management the easiest thing to do is gain a negative feedback to be called out online. I made it my duty once, and for all to leave a feedback for this place.
I am glad I decided to stumble in one late night so many years ago .
