However, tonight, we were quite impressed, blown away, by our experience.
Although they were quite busy, the line moved very efficiently, the line staff, very methodical and quick. Although there were a few ’empty’ steam pans/items missing, everything seemed to be fresh, and all our usual choices were there and everything we chose was delicious.
One thing I noticed, and was quite impressed with, while in line, was Juliessa, who was very adamantly and thoroughly wiping down every aspect the steam line as she worked. To the point I wondered to myself, she is doing quite an admirable job, but how often is she rinsing out that towel?? Almost immediately, she had walked around the corner to the office area and returned with a well rinsed towel! THAT, itself gave me an overwhelming feeling of “YEAH, she’s got it going on!”
I have to say at this point, I have had 22yrs of Award EARNING, Foodservice Management in various aspects, from fast-food to Fine Dining.
As I had commented to Maria, the Manager on Duty, there are some, who notice the things that I did, and know very well and complimented her on the obvious thorough training of those I watched on the service line, and the high standards that are expected of the staff on duty at that time! To the ‘trained eye’, one can notice the difference between someone “Going through the motions”, and someone whom that level of work ethic/quality is a standard with that employee and location.
Whether good or bad, the quality and standards of ANY BUSINESS, reflect directly on those who manage that staff, and it was quite apparent to me that there is a very high standard of quality, ethics and care implored by Maria, the Management Team with the staff and that clearly shows!
All in all, we had a quite enjoyable/memorable dining experience tonight, which moves this choice up in our ‘dining rotation’! Hopefully they can keep this highly improved experience and new staff members for the foreseeable future!
Walked up to order 2 plates and all the sides… ALL the sides were dry and old. They were to their last few scoops of rice and noodles. Their chicken string bean was old and dry as well. Of course that’s what we wanted. Other items were empty.
Employees standing around in back nobody cooking nothing. One of the ladies had to call out all of these items to be made.
Lines were long people waiting for their food. Ridiculous.. especially knowing majority of the people will be ordering Rice or Noodles.
We stood for 5 mins and paid for food we were still waiting for.. I asked what the wait time was and she said 10 mins.. 10 mins on top of the 10 mins we already waited totally 20 mins.
Panda EXPRESS.. do better. Even through shift change you need to be prepared for the rush at all times. Nobody should have to wait this long. Those food dishes shouldn’t have been that empty and dry. Are there timers.. communication.. some type of back up plan?
I still can’t believe the wait time and how many people were waiting.
I will never come to this location again. I should have learned the first time around and it wasn’t worth a second try.
Employees standing around while your food dries out and they were scraping the bottom of the pans to box orders.. so wrong in so many ways.. bad!!!
