They skimp so hard on the meat. Tiniest layer of meat mixed in with the beans and cheese, felt like I was mainly eating bread. Waste of $10. Fries were good tho.

Since it’s “Taco Tuesday”, we decided to dine here last minute. Easy to find, lots of free parking, big dining area, friendly service, and pretty good tacos on a budget. Nothing fancy, but clean and safe.

I really thought this place would have good food considering how nice and clean the place looks. However, that was not the case. I ordered some Chicken flautas and they were all covered in lettuce and cheese like they were purposely trying to hide the fact that they were burnt. They were so hot and fried to the extreme that it burned through the to go container. I only took like 4 bites before deciding to just throw them away. 🙁 As a cook if you see that you have burned the food. Don’t give it to the customers man.

Fantastic food, made the same exact way every time. One of my wife and I’s favorite places to eat. Priced fairly, food comes out quick, and it’s the same at every location. 10 out of 10!

By the outside of this restaurant, we should have gone somewhere else. Empty parking lot, with tons of homeless around. We had to pull up to the front, because even with glasses on, we could not see the menu clearly, when we were ready to order, there was a young man who came in and she said if your not ready, can you move, instead of asking nicely, hey are yall ready, if not can I get the next person in line. Nevertheless, she was rude when I asked what the orange agua frecas was, it literally could have been anything, so not sure why there was an attitude. So we ordered. Our tortas were pretty good, nothing “LOCA” about it, but the TACOS had no seasoning, flavor, it was bland. We are on vacation from Texas and we LOVE tacos, but these lacked in seasoning and taste, we tried to get limes and my husband happened to ask for a bigger container to hold the limes, because we were trying to eat the tacos we bought and we thought maybe limes would help the flavoring (it didn’t), well the lady said a bigger container is $3.00…you are giving them for free with the food, why in the world would you try to charge for a deeper container so he wouldn’t drop anything. Very lame. Inside it was very boring, the restrooms needed some deep cleaning, I would not recommend Tortas Locas.

Update: Took the taco combo today instead of my usual torta. Tacos were crumbly, filled with lettuce – what was supposed to be chargrilled chicken was mushy, tasteless chicken almost like shredded chicken. The black beans were good and had a spicy kick. The rice was clearly days old. Very disappointed. The mango drink was the only thing that hit the spot today. Earlier: We were regular customers at this location of the chain when they were located on the other side of the road at the gas station. Visited the new expanded location for the first time. Our food was quite good. The torta bun itself felt a tad stale. The red salsa packs a punch. The orange one which is usually spicy lacked the taste this time. Plenty of seating and well lit, though we took our food to go.

Las Tortas Locas serves food different than your typical “Tex Mex” place. If your idea of Mexican food is Taco Bell, this is not your place. Ordered three tacos, each with a different protein as did my son. Really enjoyed it and will be back again soon.

Insane how good this was. Got the weekend soup, menudo and two tacos, barbacoa and carnitas. Topped the two tacos with lime, creamy salsa verde and some super spicy creamy orange salsa. Topped the menudo with some lime. Ate everything. Menudo tasted so good that I feel my immune system is safe for the next 10yrs. My only dissatisfaction with tortas locas is that they don’t make it possible for you to tip when you pay with card & It’s long overdue.

Got the Nortena sub which I enjoyed. Try out their salsa bar, I had the Verde and one of the red sauces -I’d say they are mild tasting. I tried the Jamaican drink but will opt for mango or horchata next time. Don’t forget to add lime!
