Stopped by around 5:30. Hostess was rude and we almost left after waiting awhile (longer story) then another server came and asked if he could help us. Our waitress started out well but wasn’t seen often after we got our food. The filet and lobster was a great deal. We also got just a filet and enjoyed it as well. We ordered medium rare and it was closer to medium which was doable. The kids burger was great size and the fries were delicious. Enjoyed seating outside.

If you’re craving some good old comfort home cooking while taking a trip through the mountains, give this charming steakhouse a try! They do not have their own parking lot but there is free parking lots a short walk away. Our reservation was later so we spent the wait checking out the area. Going in and out of lovely shops along the strip and sampling wine at the local winery.
I would highly recommend getting a reservation since this place will fill up and book out. Even with a reservation the wait for our food was pretty long, it was a Saturday night so it was to be expected. We were given plenty of yummy house bread to hold us over and good drinks from the bar. The restaurant was cozy with a rustic yet homey atmosphere. Offering several seating options, an intimate indoor seating area, bar seating or a more open outdoor sitting area. The main dishes were good though the Fillet Mignon steaks were a hit and miss. My dad’s was cooked perfectly. However my sisters was not cooked evenly all the way through. One side was exactly as ordered, medium well while the other side ended up being very medium rare, bright red and dripping blood all over the plate. Our waitress was a gem though and very accommodating, giving us a discount on the bill. The rest of the food was fantastic though. The Boots Burger was so melt in the mouth tender and flavorful, the Shrimp and Grits was like a party in your mouth of rich flavors and the Black Forest Cherry Chocolate cake slice for desert was chiefs kiss. Overall would come back to dine again.

Excellent! One of the best sirloin steaks I’ve ever had and I like to eat steak.
All the food was great. Really kinda rustic and charming restaurants, at least a destination for foodies. Everything was delicious. It’s definitely $$ but worth it, the staff and owner are awesome.
Definitely will be back.

Vintage style place with a warm feeling was amazing . Absolutely devoured my food. Steak was like cutting through butter. Amazingly cooked. Topped with crab meat, added amazing taste. Creamed spinach was superb. Vegetables were cooked to perfection , not to soft with a little crisp, seasoned well.

There were four of us and we all ordered the steak, medium rare of course. One of the best steaks. Also I ordered the squash as a a side. It was very good.
Next time we are in this area Boots steakhouse is on our list.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Boots Steakhouse! I ordered the crabcakes – absolutely delicious. Others in our group had the grilled mahi with wild rice, and a perfectly cooked ribeye with baked potato and salad. Everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented.
We enjoyed a bottle of Chianti with our meal, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Alex (a grad student at WCU), was attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable and well cared for.
Great food, fantastic service, and a beautiful location made for an evening full of laughter, friendship, and lasting memories.

My boyfriend and I sat on the front porch, and everything was amazing. Our server Parker was the best, even though they were busy he made time to talk with us, made sure to check in on us, and didn’t mind that we were there near closing time. As well as our last server (I didn’t catch her name), remembered us from last time, she’s so sweet and created an amazing atmosphere. Both servers were awesome. The food was reasonably priced, and great portions.
